Tell me why it is "SKIES" and not 'SKY", please?!

Sunless SEA (even though it can be argued that there are multiple seas because of geography and distance)
Sunless SKY (because you know, it's one giant sky up there regardless of how you partition it)

It's been driving me nuts since they announced it. I actually cancelled my KS backing because I couldn't get an answer as to why it is like this (and I figured it'd get funded and made anyway so wasn't worried about it.)

it just seems careless writing, and if you are going to carelessly write the title of your entire project which is predominantly writing-focused, it's nearly impossible for me to get past it

It's good you cancelled it. Next thing that might be problematic for you is LOCOMOTIVES IN SPACE. You know. Because it's against law of physics.

I had the occasion to test the sunless sea episode and while it seemed interesting it was too much for I.

Despite having a good level in english it was kind of exhausting to follow.

I don't see why this is an issue... you can say skies.

I'm not sure if it's an old fashioned term but you can definitely say 'cloudy skies' or 'sunny skies'.

As for why it's different pluralisation between games, there is only one sea in the first, I presume the skies of the second game are vaster and more deserving of the plural.

Besides, if you really want to nit pick the game is set in space anyway not the sky at all.

While it's always a bummer to see regional prices, concerning the product itself it isn't entirely unknown as Sunless Sea had its success and this one seems similar.

I guess the early access part is more about the writing.

Besides they are known to have entirely changed the combat in Sunless Sea thanks to comminity feedback and that's somethingg to recognize.

So that's why calling it a "piece of shit" is going totally overboard and is utterly unargumented.

Although I respect your right to not like early access sales.

Several planets = several skies

In previous game it was one water surface, which got their name from the explorers, before it was certain how big it actually is. Like several lakes on Earth are called Sea, even they are not.
