Not true. You are assuming what went on in the USSR and what goes on in Cuba and North Korea is communism. Guess what? Its not communism. In fact, under communism, everyone would get a new 3DS XL Majora’s Mask Limited edition. And under capitalism, things could easily reach a point where no one would be able to afford a new 3DS XL Majora’s Mask Limited edition except a handful of people(making life not so much different from life in North Korea). The only reason, a decent amount of people in the West can afford to purchase a new 3DS XL Majora’s Mask Limited edition is because the people in power, allow it, for the time being.

Well under real communism, there is no supreme leader. But you are probably right. Because a lot of people only care about status, power, money etc and if they can't get those things, they will just do half ass work at their jobs. Therefore everything produced will probably be shit quality. But nobody knows for sure, because a true communist country has never existed.
Because evil people in the past used the idea of communism to trick poor desperate people(who were sick of being treated like dirt) into starting revolutions so they could be the Kings or supreme leaders or god emperors etc instead of being nothing. Then after these evil people got what they wanted, they unleashed their inner King Joffrey on people. So basically, it's like. Hey everyone. Join the revolution and we will all be equal. Then after the revolution. Just kidding. We are not all equal. I am your supreme leader! HUEHUEHUE! And every real communist who said "Wait a second, we are all supposed to be equal." disappeared and was never seen again.

I can't help but think to watching MASH, where Frank Burns was always so passionate talking about killing some commies (Communists), yet i don't think he ever actually had the guts to do anything. Hmmm...

Then there's the example that i keep hear given to me of how Communism works; That you are given a job you don't want and you have to do it rather than being able to do any job you wanted... Honestly i wouldn't mind being a baker even if i was a computer specialist, as long as everyone was treated equally, and had the necessities.

Nah, under communism, you can do what you want to do. You just have to contribute something to society. Of course, you can't choose the profession of unicorn hunter and hunt for unicorns. OR choose the profession of playing video games all day. I remember now that, communism once existed and worked well for us humans. When we were all small tribes, we were all communists. Everyone worked, took care of each other and everyone got equal. In those days, there were no rich and wealthy people and poor people. Just your fellow member of the tribe.

Humans are tribal animals and tribal hierarchy demands there is at least one turd at the top. In democratic countries we've managed to do some damage control like e.g. here in Switzerland by splitting the country into partly self-governing cantons and distributing the power between many turds (municipal council, national council, federal council) but that's still not quite optimal as you can only vote one turd out of office by voting for another lesser turd and when there is a popular vote my vote counts no more than that of someone who is a turd and voting for an even bigger turd. Not ideal but still better than having a DS made out of clay though!

True but the turd on top doesn't have to be some douche bag with the most money. It could be the smartest person or the best warrior or the most honorable person or the most charismatic person. But I do realize, that capitalism has it PROs and CONs. And even though our ancestors were communists and lived good lives, they didn't have all the cool stuff we have today that would not exist if capitalism never took over. Therefore, I think the best solution for all of us, is a mix of capitalism and communism.

Yeah, living in the same world as scalpers is depressing.

I don't know which theoretical economic system is the best but in practice, prosperity and equality are most successfully combined in capitalist welfare states such as the Nordic countries.

As for scalping, as much as I despise scalping I don't think legally regulating it would be the best way, this would divert law enforcement capacity that could otherwise be used against more pressing crimes. I mean, the police most likely have better things to do than searching for illegal Nintendo DS resellers on Ebay. I mainly blame Nintendo for only releasing a highly limited number of their product into the market for the sake of creating a big hype, the scalpers are just a natural and hard to avoid consequence of Nintendo's marketing methods. And even more than companies like Nintendo one could blame those people who keep falling for this ancient marketing trick and are willing to pay whatever just to be part of an exclusive club and are therefor further enabling the scalpers. It's all supply and demand and if you make laws and regulations then stuff just goes on the black market anyway.

Just saw your comment about how a kid that doesn't get a birthday present because of scalpers will end up having life ruined and get caught fucking inflatable pool rafts 20 years later... haha! I doubt it will be that bad, I know many people who had it tough as kids and turned out perfectly fine even if they didn't get all they wanted.

I also don't think legally regulating scalping is a good idea. It would open up a Pandora's box and unleash a lot of shit. And we don't need the police going after every single person who recently purchased multiple high demand items then reselling them because it's just not worth it. It would cost too much money and time etc. And scalpers don't seem like the kind of people to respect laws, anyway. If scalping became illegal, they probably won't stop. So then scalpers will get caught and sent to prison and then more tax money is required. Not worth it.

The last sentence in my comment about the kid was me joking around. It takes more than a ruined birthday to mess someone up. But the rest of my comment is serious. Scalpers ruin things for kids, I'm sure.

No offense to the average person living in Poland but I'm sure for the average person living there, $310 is really like $600.

If the device were THAT hot and rare you'd expect these guys selling it in Poland for ~$300 to actually try selling it for much more on Ebay to users from overseas, though. Here's one merchant currently offering fifteen units for 300 bucks each, btw (funnily enough he hasn't sold a single one yet - it's also worth mentioning, though, that Poles don't care much for Nintendo :P).
