gamesfreak64: well its usefull somehow, the fact is that its not common practice for the games that are named in the list to arrive first on GOG, there are games that were released and hadn't even been listed in the upcoming.
I don't find it useful at all. Why should I look at an upcoming tab that lacks most old and new titles that are going to be released? In the end I'd still have to check regularly on GOG if a game that I am interested in gets released.
That makes the tab just a gimmick for me.
The other thing is that I even think it's harmful to GOG having an incomplete upcoming tab because many people will just suspect that a new game is not going to be released on GOG (even though it is) and will buy the game on Steam.

I understand your point of view: so basically you mean:

new games that are coming up will be displayed in the upcoming tab, so we can see what will be coming next, and these games should always be released first.

This removes the element of surprise, which can be very exciting cause, afterall you never know what might hit you :D
I mean, you are browsing the new and the upcoming tab once a day, but then, out of the blue you visit the page and...
omg that is one hell of a game , i must have that game, and it was not on the upcoming tab.

So some element of surprise is always nice to have.

No, that's not what I mean.

What exactly is the point of looking at the upcoming tab? I guess you look at that tab to see if a game you like will be released on GOG. If the chances are high that a game is not displayed on the upcoming tab but still gets released, there is little use in looking at the upcoming tab in the first place.
In my opinion it's a waste of time looking at the upcoming tab in it's current state.

Not only that but I also assume that a lot of people just take a peek at the upcoming tab and decide to buy a game on Steam because it is not to be found on GOG's upcoming tab. If there is no upcoming tab that person might just wait to see if a game gets released here. :)

richiemunro: Hello to who may read this,

I've only joined GOG yesterday and have been sent into a spin of nostalgia!! I've taken advantage of their weekend deal and somewhat more! I'm just pumped knowing there is a site like this, so long have i searched crap places like ebay etc looking for the games i once owned & played. Just wanted to say Thank You GOG & your team & your community! :)

Thank You,
Richie
Welcome to the GoG forum, Richie! I also joined GoG for DRM free classics that will work on modern computers, like my favorite old Zork games & other adventures, like Darkfall & Myst. Did you notice the remastered classics like Grim Fandango, Shadowgate, and Monkey Island yet?

Sorry you missed the big summer sale but there will be more. In fact there is usually a good one on weekends and a huge one during the holidays that is as good as the summer one, so do check back. Sometimes the Fall promo is a big deal as well. Those are the sales that can get you favorite old games for very little. Occasionally GoG gives away a title for free for a short time. Its worth your while to keep checking back.
