Hello to who may read this,

I've only joined GOG yesterday and have been sent into a spin of nostalgia!! I've taken advantage of their weekend deal and somewhat more! I'm just pumped knowing there is a site like this, so long have i searched crap places like ebay etc looking for the games i once owned & played. Just wanted to say Thank You GOG & your team & your comunity! :)

Quick question, where do i go to find out upcoming titles that will appear in our games list?

Thank You,

Richie
Welcome. I think you will have a lot of fun with the games and this site!

On the main page, in the right part, there is a tab "Upcoming", there you can find some of the titles which will be coming in the near or distant future. My observations is, that those are mainly contemporary titles, older games appear without announcment.
The only one that knows what is going to pop up in your game list is you.
But GOG has an upcoming tab on the front page.

Small clarification: older games mostly appear without prior announcement. They are announced on release. They don't just add them to the catalog without telling anyone about it.
Welcome to GOG, it's always fantastic to see new faces around here. :) I do hope you enjoy your stay, I too originally found GOG due to looking up ways to get things like my old Tex Murphy games running. I was astonished to find not only working copies of these classics but hundreds (at the time) more both that I wanted, had but had issues running, and ones I had never previously had a chance to get my hands on. Again, please enjoy your stay and I hope you gain as much enjoyment from this site and it's community as I have.

I HIGHLY recommend their Lucas Arts section of the catalog, it's been a LONG time coming for them and there are some really great classics finally here DRM-Free. Now if they can get Full Throttle and Day of the Tentacle (either through LA or Double Fine) then I will be doing cartwheels through the streets. :P

Also, I greatly recommend many of the games in the Upcoming section, as others have stated it sadly doesn't often list older titles, but the titles it lists *coughARMIKROGcough* are mostly worth a look see. If you like some unique games they are usually in the Upcoming tab *coughARMIKROGcough*. Wow I think I might be coming down with a bad cough. :D Cheers, and again welcome to GOG.

...*coughARMIKROGARMIKROGARMIKROGcough*...Excuse me...that dang cough. :)

Thanks for clearing that up, when I am reading my post now, it is possible to understand it that way.
In my experience, the upcoming tab on the front page is not useful because there are just too many titles that simply get released without being announced first. :)
Welcome Aussie:-)
Welcome to the home of many good old games and many newer games too (some good, some bad, some ugly...)
You might also try out the free games, if you haven't done so yet. My favourites from that section are: Beneath a steel sky, the Ultima games, Tyrian 2000 and Treasure Adventure Game.

Yeah, it wouldn't matter if you were explaining to someone who kind of already knew the site, but when the person asking is completely new here, it could cause confusion.
Welcome to GOG Richie :)

Welcome to GOG, richie,

GOG had a magnificent summersale, too bad you missed it, but there will be more season sales so make sure to save some cash for these events.

well its usefull somehow, the fact is that its not common practice for the games that are named in the list to arrive first on GOG, there are games that were released and hadn't even been listed in the upcoming.

Crawl is on the list for the longest period of time, it seems it will take more time before it arrives.
Its still in Early access, on Steam, cause they keep adding stuff, they also mentioned the price will be higher then the current 9.99 euro when the final release version will be made available for purchase.
So i assume that all the steam users who bought early access will stay at the 9.99 , the ones that buy released version will have to cough up more dollars., pounds , euros or whatever they pay with.

After that 'white power' dickhead flooded the place yesterday and you are warning them about me!? :P

I'm the least of their problems. I'm just annoying.

Welcome! Have you checked out the existing catalog of games? If they don't have the ones for which you are looking, there is the GOG Wishlist, post the request there and it will get the most attention.
