Fuck. Game over, RW wins.
*round of applause*

yogsloth: I see agent gets a free pass for claiming Slytherin. I also see you have now tied me for lead wagon.

I see I see I see.

JoeSapphire: Do you reckon lifthrasil deserves solo lead wagon status?
I feel so popular! I'm the prettiest princess!
Unvotus yogsloth.

Why not?

A question for the RWarehall and anyone who fancies answering: concerning this arcane concept of derp, is there anything like that anymore? Meaning, among veteran, diligent students that have thoroughly practiced all kinds of stratagems already.

Probably even among them, yes!

Why? Have you encountered any such players? Where?? We'll kick their nerdy butts!

I haven't checked the records of previous school years, but I think the "I'm going to read the rules now" was over-the-top even for a jester, let alone for intentional derping. I'd file it in the "class clown jokes" folder and not consider it as evidence either for or against being Slytherine.

That's what I was thinking yesterday. Just jesting for the sake of fun. Now the main concern I have is if the people making notice of it were also being clowns themselves or...gasp, serious! I'd love to know.

Lifthrasil: Perhaps you should have read the rules first. You just outed yourself as scum.

ZFR: 4. This is a game of lying. Players are expected to lie.
I lied three times in Post 14. See if you can spot the lies!
avatar
Carradice: Thanks to joppo, RWarehall for their enlightment on several arcane concepts (people, you seem to have studied much).
I'm very much a newbie too, I just read one or two games before and pestered the players to explain some stuff to me.
For example you'll soon see mentions to WIFOM. It means "Wine in front of me", referencing the trope where two people keep swapping the poisoned chalice in front of them and eventually one makes the other swap back. It means in our context that one player might be doing doing/saying something that appears to mean they want something while their intent is the opposite and they're counting on you to react against their false intent.

After or before we account for the possibility that he's scum?
Ah who am I kidding, the answer is the same anyway.

Seems like Yogs did not approve of your explanation of derpclear. For what it's worth I think it was clear enough, thank you.

Oooh I know one! You said you were "going to read the rules now." You were lying because you still haven't read them! :-)

You're actually Goyle, you don't care who anyone else is and you still haven't read any of the rules?

Well, in admitting to lying you were either lying then or you're lying now about lying before. You know what they say, LAL...

sanscript has informed me that he might not have the time to play due to real life issues. I'm not sure if he wants to sub out. I'll keep you posted.

yogs thought the explanation itself was peachy keen

yogs thinks RWarehall is capable of more than mechanics explanation and a naked omgus vote

yogs thinks RWarehall is likely to be a scumbo mcbumbo
Votus Conputatio

Lift 2 - Pooka. Joe
agent 2 - Lift, SPF
yogs 1 - RWarehall
RWarehall 1 - yogsloth

Everyone else - 0
Not voting - everyone else

14 players remaining - it takes 8 to lynch.

When you see a vote count, please check that your name is against the right person.

Interesting given:
1) Your vote pre-dates the Omgus vote.
2) We are deep in RVS and nothing has happened yet outside a couple joke slips.
3) Surely you are capable of more than spreading misinformation.

And for the new folks, Omgus is also a Mafia term, it is Latin for Oh My Gawd, You Suck...
An OMGUS vote is when someone places a vote on the person who just accused them and placed a vote.

@Carridice Derps (or slips) happen. There have been cases where people slip up. For example, declaring victory (or popping champagne) before the final vote has been dropped or I recall one game where someone had convinced themselves in an unusual setup that the entire game was multiple scum teams and announced his theory when there was, in fact, only 1 scum team. Needless to say, he was that day's lynch.

I wouldn't worry too much about the lexicon. It all comes down to who you think might be lying and whether one's story starts to cross itself. You've looked at the context, think he's just joking (I happen to agree), that's what matters.

Since there is no restriction on what a spell can be called, this counts as a vote.

Due to the way voting happens in this game, please don't make purposely ambiguous votes. If you do, I reserve the right to assume what I think you mean and count it accordingly. I won't incorrectly guess on purpose, so if you write "Lovely day we're having, isn't it, Vitek?", I'll assume that was a legit question and not a name of a spell. But if you write "I suspect mchack", I'll count it as a vote. When you think there can be some doubt, make sure to mark it in a way to make it clear, e.g. by adding "(no vote)" at the end. Or don't bold it.

You can thank Joe for his Pokemon game.

I wouldn't say this is entirely true.

My vote on you is pretty real.

Your vote on me... is it as well? You think I'm scum here for pointing out all you've done before this post is a single post of mechanics talk and an omgus vote?

OK Bob, what's my agenda there? Am I mafia just... making this up to try and frame your poor townie self? Or am I just a poor misguided townie myself not yet aware of the fire you intend to bring, that I do know you're capable of?
