@oldwino: but there is one thing. In the previous game, Beverly Hills was scum. My alignment matches the alignment of the role with the same name in the last game. Now the big question is: is that the case for you too?

Please copy and paste the rule set from post #2 in the admin thread.

It states clearly "The following rules cannot be overridden by individual moderators."

This means it's not open to interpretation but it's supposed to be listed and followed as is. Attempting to capture the heart of the rule isn't good enough. If you choose to add anything else it's up to you as moderator.

I didn't look back to see if role alignments match the MS game or not. I just assumed characters and roles were randomly assigned so by chance, some will match and some will not. Otherwise, I wouldn't have revealed my character flavor. No way drealmer would match roles and characters the same way in both games, that would make sorting town and scum too easy. Anyone saying the roles and characters match across the two games, rather than being random, is looking for excuses to claim town for themselves and say others are scum. That makes those players suspicious.

So, to do an evil condensation of what you wrote: you didn't check the previous role alignments ... otherwise you wouldn't have revealed your role name? (Isn't it fascinating how the sound of a statement changes, when you remove one sentence? )

OK. It is possible, even probable, that drealmer changed the alignments of some roles/names if possible (there are some roles that are very unlikely to be scum). So your name alone isn't reason enough to lynch you, I think. But you have to admit that it looks like a possibility that your name revealing might be a scum slip. Scum, who didn't check the previous game and therefore didn't attach much importance to the name and thought he could look towny by sharing some information he thought to be non-incriminating.

Of course no one but drealmer can know if all role/name/alignment combinations match. So it would be dangerous and bad play to base this game solely on that assumption. What is, however, interesting are the reactions sparked by this discussion and your reveal:
Trent's push following your percieved possible slip seems a bit too eager. But ignoring the possibility of a slip would be very bad play too. So your statement that 'anyone saying the roles and characters match across the two games' ... is suspicious, is way too strong too. I kind of looks like an over-reaction on your side. Especially since I know for a fact that the entire name/role/alignment combination matches in at least one case.

Now, the big question is who of you two is scum. Is trent over-eager town going for a percieved slip? Actually being over-eager can happen to trent... Or is he scum going for an easy target after a careless statement? And are you scum who did slip? Or are you town who is over-defensive?
