30 posts in and I've already been accused of being scum by 3 people. Not sure what the heck I'm doing to put off a scum vibe this game but I am not scum, all I care about is finding who did this to David and helping Henry. If I am actually scum anytime in a game I think I am going to just sit back and post as little as possible on Day 1 so a Townie gets lynched because it sure does seem like that's the way to play it.

I mean, I think it's kinda obviously a readslist :P

I still think it's the case even if you had another reason for asking the question Why not vote him then? Um you actually did fairly well in the scumteam unpick game. I only FOSed you at the end (was speccing) because of associatives with the flipped scum.

I haven't played here as much recently so I don't remember exactly but a readslist could go in several ways correct? (Most scummy to least scummy, least scummy to most scummy, or categorised based on possible town, scum or uncertain alignment) Could you explain the ulterior motive Trent had in asking what a readslist was implying?

Seems valid but that was still RVS so you think he'd take something seriously so early? People often throw around votes in RVS for the heck of it.

But more seriously about the game: I don't see why you insist so ... insistently on making you vote on Hunter visible, meda. What is that? An attempt at distancing? Or something personal? Or are you a Lyncher? Or, if you are town, what makes Hunter so scummy to you, so early, that you have to vote for him several times?

@RW and others: and what makes trent scum? So far the only one appearing scummy to me is meda ... but she appeared very scummy in the last game too, throwing 'obvitown' and 'obviscum' around for no apparent reason. So looking scummy seems to be her thing and I'll wait for her explanation before voting.

@all: fine. Let's keep the names hidden for now. If they are just fluff, as Hunter concluded from the last game, it doesn't matter anyhow.

And that is the same name/flavor as one of the characters in the older game, I've never known drealmer to shy away from a chance at showing his creativity. Not saying that there is no possibility of drealmer going with same name, but just seems less probable knowing him.

It's the way he got defensive about being the bottom of Meda's first impression list. Post 15 is alright with a simple "Care to explain?", except that when Meda gives a short explanation Trent continues in post 25 and makes the accusation that his point was missed, even going so far as calling the list "random" and "pointless". Especially since he made such the point with those previous 3 words. Seems a bit overkill for this early in the game. Makes me wonder if Meda might have hit a mark...

And the follow-up to your question, Lift, comes off as "appearing" town for town points, yet how hard is it to do a real check of the last game's names and roles and give an informed explanation when he's around all weekend? There is a whiff of trying too hard telling us how Town he is, but not acting on it.

While I don't have a problem with not finding much value in early "first impression" lists or believing a name reveal is a bad idea, it's the way it was said. But, I didn't vote him yet. I don't think it's quite vote-worthy at this early stage of the game, just poke-worthy if that makes any sense. Plenty of other players haven't posted enough for me to get any sort of real impression, but those posts of his do concern me.

Ok, I went back and went over the setup of the game from the MS site and my name/ability here matches exactly what was used in that game.So I am not buying into revealing will not help ID town or scum, I think it will along with any roles town might have. So I think oldwino is on a fishing trip.
