MegalomaniacNG stated the following:
"We would have loved to release Dungeon Lords on GoG - however - GoG decided to not support this title on their platform."

Do I even need to write the word "Why"? This is completely a classic, needs to be here.

Maybe because "Now Supports Steam Multiplayer up to 8 Players with support of Steam Lobby"?

Clearly they were willing to make changes and GoG has it's own version with Galaxy.

Maybe because the "new" Steam version is the old Dungeon Lords MMXII renamed?!

The game had a troubled development cycle. It was always a bug mess. The first version was updated to 1.4, but it never solved any of the problems that the game had. In the end they released Dungeon Lords Collector's Edition, a version of the game that at least was playable.

Jowood in their hunger for money decided to make a new game named DL: The Orb and The Oracle. Money running out and the new trend being remaster/remake/HD versions, Jowood decides to remake the original game under the name Dungeon Lords MMXII. Same problems as the original game with some extra added. The game got a bad rep on Steam and not only. Nordic getting the IP from Jowood for pennies, they've retired the old MMXII version and brought in a renamed game.

I'd say GOG made the right call. If any version has a place on GOG, that would be the DL: CE (v1.5). That's the one that at least works in some capacity (it's still bugged, but not as bad as the other versions).
Would love to see this game here on gog. It is not the best rpg ever but it was fun when i played it (might have bought it on dotemu. Please GoG do us a favor and rethink about supporting it. If Nordic want the game to sell here then you need to give it a chance.

I thought maybe it was using Steam's servers for multiplayer.

Actually the Developers claim newly released version is enhanced beyond MMXII or the CE, now i cant verify this but thats what the Devs are saying on the Steam fourms.

They are but Galaxy is supposed to be adding their own mp/server setup.

Yes, it's supposed to have been bugfixed/balanced further as well as graphics/audio/screenres updates. So, the most up-to-date version available. Definitely a game I'd rather have on GoG regardless.

I was under the impression GOG doesn't have their own multiplayer servers set up yet.

Just to be clear, I'm in no way saying this game shouldn't come here (though I'm uninterested in it personally).

Seems like these days everything is a classic.
GOG had turned down The Cat Lady, Unepic, and Blocks That Matter in the past, and yet those are all here now, so a refusal to sell a game isn't permanent. Best thing for fans to do is raise awareness and get votes on certain titles. So here's some more Nordic stuff we can vote on:

You often appear to explain a game's history. It's super interesting. Thanks.

D.W Bradley has had his hand in some flawed classics such as Wizards & Warriors, Cybermage and three Wizardry titles. Dungeon Lords has a storied history that time seems to have wiped from the internet. The most in-depth thing I can find today is the unfinished gamebanshee interview.

Can't judge on DL since I didn't play it, but from what I've heard it seems to have many problems...

And W&W... a combat-heavy game with a totally crappy combat system, loads of bugs both technical and logical including plot stoppers etc. - nope, not every bad game is a "flawed classic", some games are just bad.

I click on the OP link and find it only have 6 review and the reviews are bad. Are you confusing two different Dungeon games?
