Pookina: Preciseli-ment. The doctor's effect works throughout the Day. If he or she targeted me last night, then my shot is wasted. Now an unfortunate chain of events would be the doctor protects me at night and roleblocks me during the Day, and I shoot someone, but fail. Now half the Townies suspect this someone is the bulletproof and wagon him or her to lynch. So I think it's worth not just jumping straight ahead into a lynch and evaluate if that's our bulletproof guy or if I've been safeguarded.
But if a Doctor read you as day shooter by your statement towards Laser *I would have killed you if I were a day shooter* he might as well thought that Mafia would also read you, he could't have saved you against Strong Mafia killer anyway and he would block your only ability for what reason exactly?
There were 2 players who discussed Doctor (Lith and Carradice if I'm not mistaken) wouldn't Doctor rather aim for them as possible Mafia to block their roles.
I mean why Doctor would ever want to target Day Shooter if he can't be saved (with a living Strong), if he'll be blocked and could be lynched by an angry mob (*fail attempt demonstration*)?

Probably. But can't you see Scene as Mafia in any possible way? I mean don't you think that Mafia claims Town Vanilla if necessary? And that *fumbling around in the dark* could be his mistakes, and Town claim only a lie.

It's possible, but there are much better suspects in my opinion. How do you feel about Lift and SirP?

SirPrimalform: Huh, just caught up and we seem to have a hammer. LASER's "super power" post almost made me switch votes but it's probably for the best that I didn't. I was under the impression we had a few more hours, but that's not enough to get that wagon off the ground (because it's a flying wagon you see).

The net gain is one no-lynch Day. Think it from the time where Laser actively invited being shot. At that point he seemed convinced that he would be the lynch anyhow. Also, the prevalent opinion was that a shot would end the Day. So yes, Scum, put on the spot and resigned to being killed anyhow, WOULD gain something if they make Town waste a Day. That would explain Laser's wish to be shot instead of lynched.

That fits beautifully together with Laser's admission that 'scum would be stupid to ally themselves with me at this point'. That ONLY makes sense, if he will flip Scum. If he were Town - and therefore would flip Town - Scum would know that and might chose to support him, knowing that they could then say the next Day 'Yea. I had a feeling that he would be a mislynch'.

Add to that his strange comment about GR possibly being the Cop (I discussed this in post 492) still leads me to the conclusion that Laser either played very badly or is playing for Scum.

But I really don't understand why you read him as Town. For me the scum-tells are quite strong. That's not mere culture clash and also it isn't the first game he plays here. What makes you defend him?

Because you are my strongest read, I shared the other reads I have already and the remaining ones are contingent on how you flip. So I will hold them back until you do flip. I don't want to lynch anyone but you Today.

Also, I'm going to bed. Tomorrow I'll have to rise early and I see no reason to move my vote away from Laser.

Can someone point out where exactly Lift shared his reads? I don't recall.

How about SirP for that matter? Has he given any clear reads this game, besides myself?

lonzi: Think you misunderstood, I wasn't talking about anyone suspecting me (don't think anyone is, except apparently you I guess) and don't particularly care, just don't think it's an accurate description of my play and think dismissing me as an unknown is a slimy way to treat my slot. But maybe I'm just delusional and it is accurate.

I mean, sure, even if that's the case here on Gog that's beside the point. There's a difference between categorizing someone as a lurker and saying that your read on them is that they're a lurker. Scenes said I was an unknown, and that was the grand total of his read, unless there's stuff I'm missing on account of not having caught up. I genuinely have a hard time believing that anyone can look at my posts in this game and come out of them thinking "what an unknown this player is," like maybe I'm wrong because I also didn't believe that anyone could think of me as a lurker here but it felt fake to me.

Lifthrasil: OK. So we WON'T risk losing a Day by the use of the Vig power! @all: that means Pooka can use the shooting power without fear of hurting Town. If it succeeds, it's the same as a lynch. If it fails, we have a proven scum that we can still lynch on the same Day if the shot doesn't occur too close to the deadline.
Just realized I completely misunderstood the dayvig role. If the shots ends the dayphase, I guess that basically makes it a judge? So more or less all we're actually getting out of it is a clear on Pookah, which is obviously a good thing, but I think there's room here for arguing that she dayvig someone who is consensus scum / the biggest wagon rather than following her own reads. We know the role is town so there's no need to try to get a read on the dayvig based on their shot, and this might just be me but I've seen too many games (actually not very many, but even just one is one too many) where a judge type role ends up shooting someone that a lot of people think is town. Not that I have any reason to think Pookah would do that here, it's more just a process-level thing. Also think the role kind of hijacks the dayphase in a bad way, since wagons effectively stop mattering for the day, and we get a lot less information out of the dayphase overall. This isn't really directed at Lift so much as the board in general, so, thoughts? (Sorry if it feels like I'm talking around you Pookah, I hope it's not rude.)

Carradice is once again the same one I felt from the Harry Potter game, when he was Town. Gone is his aggressiveness from the previous game and now I do feel him there. He's also gotten back to working on the charts. Admittedly none of this should be used as a sort of townclear, but ultimately I am feeling nothing but town vibes from him. Would not shoot.

Cadaver on the other hand is a mixed bag. Cristi says his play basically fits a newbie Townie who is seeing things in black and white. I can buy that theory, sort of. It's just that his relentless attack on my claim sort of appeared as he was trying. Too hard. Like I'm thinking he thought that if he didn't pop up and say I'm a stupid Town or that he didn't believe me, he wouldn't have gained any Town points and kept chasing that string. Though I got to admire how he hasn't backed off at any point in time. A mafioso would have treaded calmer waters than challenge the riptide head-on and unprompted. So, reluctantly, I'll give him a good rating.

Cristi seems to do a decent job solving the game. Don't see her as possible scum yet.
