Did you notice that at the end of the day we will truly take someone to lunch this time?

avatar
lonzi: How long is the action phase sorry? I don't think I can see it anywhere in the OP.
avatar
GameRager: Often it's 48 hours(give or take) until we're allowed to post again here.
That early worrying over the duration of the action phase might sound like a mafioso begging for time to coordinate with her accomplices... Mmmmmm

Plus, what kind of girl dislikes talk about lingerie? No legit doll does, if you ask. Plus, they say she lived with a saxophonist.

SirPrimalform: I think asking people not to post on this page is sufficient. Posting on page 2, 3 or 837 is impossible without posting on page 1.
avatar
GameRager: But do we not need to post on page 1 to get to said other pages....oh crap, we've already posted on this page....guess we all lose then. o.0
That's... what I said.

A Damon Runyon Theatre story!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a fitting setting besides, as his stories included mafia types and Regular Joes, but I didn't think he meant our Joe!

I love panties. Would rather be free from bras and their tyranny.

Now. Let me do something quick.

Being a dancer and a slim I’m lucky. Not everyone is... Also, our mothers were wearing those terrible corsets. *Shivers*.

Also... Again? Like last time when Pookie was mafiookie? It would be so fun that she is again. So, thanks for providing a starting point.

Vote Pookie, the braless mafia cookie.

By the way, Pookie reminds of Sookie, of True Blood fame. Always wondered if her name came from some special skill of hers. Then, which one is Pookie’s?

ZFR: Hi.

As the new guy your job is to spot any weird code that Mafia might be attempting to use to signal their presence to each other. yes yes yes
avatar
lonzi: I mean, shouldn't you be more attuned to weirdness than some random girl who just showed up? Although I do like to think that I'm fairly adaptable as far as different site metas go, even if my confidence tends to lag behind a little.
It's just a joke. Last two games the new people interpreted some silliness as secret code between Mafiosos.

Are you female, just so I know how to address you? Sorry for the "guy" then.

Bragging right trio: lonzi, scene and GR.

Since we're in an open setup, bonus points for guessing the specific role for each of them.

Sure, what the heck. scene is strongman, GR redirector and lonzi the regular.

Will take the chance to mention that my person is male, even if my character is female, a slim dancer who looks angelic but can do a black swan in the stairs without any trepidation.

About the trio. No idea about the first two as they are new for me. About GR, I have come to realize the wisdom of his approach: by always looking fishy, he is effectively blinding us for good. Really cannot tell.

No longer the case with Pookie. Unreadable (for me) in the Harry Potter game. Then he changed abruptly for the next one, and the guess was good: he was scum. Have this pet theory now: that, by chance, he got another mafia role (it's 25% chance, more than possible), so he is is taking the same approach and even repeating what he did in Lift's game. To make the joke more complete, he even brought back Yogsloth's joke/inverse-psichology-trick from the Harry Potter game. All for the laughts. He might be enjoying this, even secretly hoping that someone picks up the references.

That is one pet theory. There is other factor. That somehow when he took that job with the long commute, his personality is expressing in a different way. Maybe it is lack of sleep, maybe it is hubrys, but he definitely comes out differently. In the past, I attributed that to his being mafia. Maybe both are true?

If he is mafia indeed it will be lots of fun (even if it will likely be a short-lived mafioso career).

By the way, enjoying the peculiarities of an open setup, for a change (even a pure deduction game would have its own advantages and would be fun in its own different way, as well).

Yeah, not sure I liked Pooka repeating the "I'm scum" joke yet again.

Voot Pooka

ZFR: Yeah, not sure I liked Pooka repeating the "I'm scum" joke yet again.
I'm pretty sure all my joke said was "I'm Town and I'm Scum." Which is akin to saying a number is positive and negative, which AFAIK is still impossible. Just imagine having the win condition of either party!

It's a little far fetched to think all of that from precisely one post. I get your point, that my meta is somehow similar to the previous one, but you're already going straight for the meta card based on one post. One.

Due to COVID-19, I've been working from home and thankfully my well being has improved. I'm dreading the day I go back to work on premises, cause I know I'll have to wake up at 5AM, and go back at like 8PM, with barely any hours left for me.

Now, Miss Pookette has got to wear a bra. Yuck.

Pookina: oh, the game started?

hi, I'm Miss Pookie. Townie Mafioso.

Aside from this sillyness, this is a game where we can actually discuss roles and setup without going into speculation! For example about the fact that our Doc is basically just a delayed Roleblocker, as long as scum have that Strongman. That makes the Doc role much less powerful and difficult to handle. All in all, after several slightly town-sided setups, this one seems to be balanced in favour of scum.

This seems like early wagon building Lift. I find this suspicious
