Again the rara flung us into frenzy. Again the moon and stars vanished and we seemed to plummet through an eternal dream of darkness, scrabbling for a hold on the world.

Sounds in the tempest - cries of terror, yelps of shock, the jangling of a chain.

In an instant, there was light again, and the world felt distant and veiled. Again the earth shifted into its proper place. Or did we rise back to meet it?

We were met with a horrible vision. Above us, the zonbi, white cloak spreading wide, swaying gently beneath the moon. Her mask dropped and the torchlight glinted off her bulging eyes, and distorted face. Her front was awash with blood, which dripped steadily on the earth and dead leaves. She was suspended from a thick branch by Bawon Samdi's long chain, pulled so tight it had torn open her throat.

Ten had become eight. In the wavering light, we looked from one to another.

Gogtrial is eliminated. He was Roselie Fernand, Haitian Regular.

It is now the Third Voting Phase.
Vote GameRager

I don't think there's any plausible reason why gogtrial disappeared...unless...he was the one actively going after the scum.

Gogtrial was the only one not on trent's wagon besides you and I. Now I wonder would scum!pooka really blunder into killing one of the possible suspects? Likely not.

So we must take a look at trent's wagon. Would the sole remaining scum bus trent so early or would he try to defend him.

I would not be hasty lynching GameRager before hearing people out.

This seems a bit too obvious to me. GameRager took a lot of flak yesterday, and gogtrial was the main person pushing him.

I'm thinking there is a fair bit of WIFOM being at hand here. I know Agent's gambit by its own was an attempt on WIFOM with the two cups being poisoned anyway, but here we see yet another case of WIFOM; did GameRager kill gogtrial or did someone else kill gogtrial?

I'm willing to believe GameRager is like "if I do another WIFOM gambit, people will be wary about it and not want to lynch me just as readily as they were D2." And here's the first sign of such a plan working: you think it's too obvious. So I'm in favor of lynching him and finding out if he's really scum, or a red herring.

Not really. SPF and I had also stated clearly that GR would be the next scum-candidate if trent flips scum. And scum has a history in this game for going after the obvious target. ZFR was the one who argued that my tentative 'trent and agent might both be scum' theory shouldn't be tentative at all but was actually the only theory that made sense. So he was the first who pushed trent and scum killed him for that. Probably hoping to use the WIFOM-assumption that scum!trent wouldn't go after such an obvious enemy. We may have the same here. Also it was clear that gogtrial would be town-read after trent's flip.

Concerning GameRager, there was one theory I had yesterday which dependet on trent's flip. I was wondering whether GR was a cop who had investigated trent. After the way GR asked after the cop and what a cop should do with a 'clear' result, that was a possible explanation for his stated confidence that trent was Town. Now that trent flipped scum, we know that this is no valid explanation anymore. So GR's conviction didn't come from any any invesitgation and his reference to the Cop wasn't breadcrumbing his results. Which makes that question more role-fishy and GR's defense of trent more fishy in general.

I can very well see GR panicking after agent revealed the whole initial scum-team and trent failed to pick up on that. So he probably defended trent because he didn't want to be the only scum left on D3 (after just having been re-rolled as scum)

In other words: vote GameRager
I'm not sure if it's the right moment, but I don't want us to focus on GameRager because he is 100% not scum. I'm not going to reveal much more at this moment, but I already hinted at that during yesterday's discussions.

Closest thing I got to blotunga hinting at GameRager not being scum.

You're, one hundred percent sure, that GameRager is scum. This post alone implies you did something at night through which you figured out that GameRager is not the guy we're looking for. Given that we only need to lynch one guy, would you kindly reveal what you've got in your mind? Any decent scum will pick up on this post as "blotunga has a power role" and will nightkill you accordingly. Basically what I'm saying is you're already beyond the point of no return, so it's best to get the show started.
I don't want to completely waste today's lynch so that's why I interjected so soon. But I do want to let scum keep guessing a bit. I will reveal the details later as soon I'm starting a trip and I won't be online for a while. But as said, please focus on someone else than GameRager and me until then. It's wasted effort.
The first line in my last post: GameRager is NOT scum. The "not" was missing.

The scum has already gotten a piece of the puzzle that says enough about you; you're a power role. That's more than they have on the rest of us. Claim who you are and give us a good reason not to waste effort on GameRager.
Wow, I didn't expect the game to start back up until this evening at the earliest. Catching up now.
Ok, I actually think that the mafia have done us a favour by killing gogtrial. Because of Korotan's absence and Gogtrial's addition to the game being very recent, that player slot was a big question mark and a place I thought it possible for scum to be hiding.

The obvious suspect does seem to be Gamerager, but then we have Blotunga soft-claiming a PR and saying that GR is not scum. I agree with Pooka that there is not much point withholding any information at this point. Blotunga is already a bigger target than anyone else due to the soft-claim, scum are surely going to pick Blotunga over a random chance.

Blotunga must be some kind of cop to be able to know GR is not scum from N1. A tracker could only be sure from N2 as the one remaining scum must have performed last night's kill.
Okay, we're going to need a proper claim, as at the moment there are two possible scenarios.

1) blotunga is telling the truth, which means GameRager and Blotunga re both town.

2) this is a very brave scum move, and blotunga is soft claiming, as he knows we will not sacrifice a town PR. He's using this to keep everyone's favourite suspect alive to give him a better chance of making it to end game. He knows if we do lynch GameRager, that he will flip town and "verify" him as town PR at the same time.

Either way, GameRager is definitely town.

Absolutely, if GameRager was scum then Blotunga would have to be town and lying for some reason, which obviously isn't the case.

Definitely need a full-claim from Blotunga now, I can't see a town advantage to keeping things mysterious. If he's telling the truth then he's already a target. Claiming isn't going to make him more of a target.
Sorry GR, I guess it really was your playstyle. It's going to be interesting to see Blotunga's big reveal, but I'm traveling for the next 5 hours, so I'll probably just catch the results. So with GameRager effectively confirmed town, and GOGTrial NK'd, is the 3rd scum Pooka, LOLChan, or maybe Nmillar? I'll have to read through posts again.

And I'm finally going to be back at my desktop.
