flubbucket: The revulsion of Krypsynio and Vitekaria’s murder is starting to divide the town. The pieces of their body are strewn about the Korova Milk Bar like some macabre jigsaw puzzle.
Oh noes! Where am I now going to get my Milk-Plus ?
And also: wahh, we have a deadline. And compared to our current information level, one week is not much to make any headway.
Caution, Wall of Text approaching.
Let's come to my thoughs so far:
The topic
adalia vs. Hijack: while I found it questionable from adalia to propose to kills someone just for past history, he at least did so, without actually voting. Hijack however overreacted and cast a vote, which wasn't jokingly either, otherwise it would have been retracted by now. So Hijack is trying to get rid of adalia - which is either a very scummy move, or it is a townie (or other faction) letting himself be lead by a personal grudge, instead of searching for actual clues that might help town. This means, that Hijack has not been helpful to town with this. Either intentionally or out of a bias. Which makes him collect scum points in my book.
(but adalia is not off the hook. I still don't like proposing to kill someone just so. Sure, it seems to have been a joke, but it also could be scum testing the reaction to such a proposal. So no clear read in either direction here).
Ixamyakxim vs Robbeasy: Ix voted without giving a reason and only justified himself after being called out on it. Casting a vote without any additional thoughts is not helpful at all - and it turned out, he didn't even read the thread properly. Yes, the thread is massive and it's easy to miss parts. But still, casting a vote without comment, and when called out on it stating that he voted for Rob, because he didn't give enough justification for HIS vote, that seems very hypocritical. So Ix gathers scum points for this as well.
Concerning the win condition discussion: adalia is right, everyone could have read the win condition in the OP. But Darko assumed, that adalia was talking about the town post (even berating him for telling the win condition to everyone). So it appears that he missed the condition in the OP - which then would mean that Darko himself has read the town post. All in all his behaviour seems to be aimed at helping town up to now - so I see him leaning town.
Yog at least knew which word was changed with respect to the town PM, which gives him a few (weaker) town points too. Trent right away jumped in and confirmed the changed word - but actually a scum might have done the same, without knowing the PM. Or maybe the scum faction(s) have recieved a very similarly worded PM. So trent gets no points either way.
Adalia's questioning the reasons for the town points he himself got seems a dangerous thing to do for a scum. It might be double play, scum pretending to act 'honourably', event at personal risk, but that leads directly to WIFOM. Overall, with adalia being relatively new (and not very skilled in the last game ... sorry adalia) I tend to take his concern about the reasons and his willingness to question them at face value and see him, after all, leaning slightly town.
Concerning
Lurkers: too bad about Crew. Sickness is a good excuse and the overall absence from the forum is a clue that the reason for not being here is true. Get well soon crew!
JMich: yes, I agree. He lurks a lot and only made some flippant remarks. And yes, he did this in the past too - as scum. He held back initially and later fooled everyone. It's a good strategy for an experienced player. Lurk (but not too much), watch, draw conclusions and then strike later. I imagine that as a town player he wouldn't lurk so much but would be more active, throwing his experience in with town, to help the less experienced newer townies. We need all the information gathering we can get. So: Jmich definitely gets scum points.
CSPVG: where the hell is he? He seems quite lurky to me too. Too much - also suspicious!
Summary:
Leaning scum: JMich, Hijack, Ixamiakxim and CSPVG
Leaning town: DarkoD13, yogsloth and, to a somewhat lesser degree, adaliabooks
not sure about the others. For the moment I
vote CSPVG to draw him out of hiding. But I am considering to switch to JMich soon, if he doesn't show more participation and gives an explanation, why an experienced player like him isn't participating more.
