Bring all your games and friends in one place with GOG GALAXY 2.0. The closed beta just launched and you can still join by signing up now.

GOG GALAXY 2.0 is an application designed for all gamers, that will allow to combine multiple game libraries into one and connect with friends across all gaming platforms, PC and consoles. Announced last month, the application launches in the closed beta today.

Those who receive an invitation, will get the opportunity to check and test the apps’ core features – connecting multiple platforms, installing and launching PC games, organizing the library and seeing friends’ gaming activity.
Here’s what gamers can expect from GOG GALAXY 2.0 in the closed beta stage:

Your Games.
Import all your games from PC and consoles, build and organize them into one master collection. Install and launch any PC game you own, no matter the platform.
Keep track of all your achievements, hours played and games owned.
Customize your library by filtering, sorting, tagging, and adding your own visuals like game backgrounds or covers.

Your Friends.
See your friends’ cross-platform achievements, game time milestones and recently played games.
Compete on leaderboards and see who’s the master collector, completionist or spends the most time playing.

Your Privacy.
Your personal data will never be shared with third parties.
We’re not spying on data from your computer.
With a single click, you can remove imported games and friends data from our servers.

More
Connect more platforms and add new features with open-source integrations.
All customizations and changes to your library are saved in the cloud and synced between all your devices.
Save any view like a customized library or favorite games and friends to access them instantly.

Your GOG Client.
The best way to run and update your GOG games.
Use features like cloud saving, in-game overlay, multiplayer & matchmaking, rollbacks and more.
The client is not required to play your DRM-free GOG games.

The version of GOG GALAXY 2.0 in the closed beta is still a work-in-progress application, it won’t include all of the features, and users may experience some bugs or issues. Additional features and functionalities may be added during the beta phase.
Everyone participating in the closed beta is encouraged to give their feedback in the GOG GALAXY 2.0 forums or via GOG’s social media channels.

GOG GALAXY 2.0 in the closed beta is available for Windows and Mac, and requires a GOG account. You can still sign up at www.gogalaxy.com for the closed beta access.

This is the news forum thread, but we do encourage to give feedback in the thread you linked :) Thanks!

im still using the 1.2.51 BETA client from what windows 10 has taught me updating to the latest version isnt always the best thing
Cool, can't wait to see this bad boy being released. I still remember the time when the 1.0 GOG client hit back when The Witcher 3 was still quite new :)!

But you're using a declared beta though (the dev team told you that you're using a beta version of their product). If you're subscribed to the closed beta you should always get the newest version or otherwise you can't help the dev team to work out fixes for the next versions :)! Thats what beta testers do. I do agree that with regular public releases sometimes updating doesn't help you, but I don't recommend to do so in this case.

Disclaimer: I'm not subscribed to this. I wait for the "normal" version like a good citizen. Its just common practice when it comes to public software testing.
While I still don't care about any clients, I despise them, I do wonder why GOG keeps shitting on Linux users who want it.
I signed up right away, how do I get it?

I'm curious about some details like updates management.
While I'm not a linux user, I agree with the common statements raised. Also curious when I'll get to try this thing since I signed up within the first hour of it getting annouced.
Signed up, waiting for an invite.

Testing the Steam integration would be one of the few things that would make me re-install Steam.

You and me both. Signed up in the first hour or two at worst, and people are already on. Not that it will matter to me as I won't get home for another 6 hours or so.
Just signed up, as i'm curious as to how it interacts with Steam.

Also would it not be better to unsticky the locked thread, and sticky this thread?
I signed up. I expect either an appimage or a RPM. :p
Signed some time ago. Still no invite. Waiting patiently :)
Signed up the moment I saw the option.
Can't wait to check it out on if an invite comes!
