Bookwyrm627: Well, I did kinda sorta leave a welcome mat out for a possible lynch, by being VERY ostentatious about not directly denying I was scum for a fair bit of the day. Among the things I did was was throw the third vote on Krypsyn (after Krypsyn and someone else (Bler?) already voted for Krypsyn), just because the wagon was longer than anything else.
Huh. This reminds me I did a similar thing in the high school game, but in my case there was also collateral damage. >.>
One question about races: Bookwyrm noted, that the Mod post implies that our only hobbit was killed and muses about the other races. But isn't that something that should be very much apparent? I mean it's not as if one first looks at the size of someone when he dies. "Oh, I never notices that he was a dwarf before!" So if race would be an important part of the flavour, I guess our mod would have made the races of everyone apparent. Since he didn't, I guess that race doesn't play any important role in this game.

CSPVG: ...
Well, I doubt that suspicions based on feeling only are useful in any way. But it might start some talking and talking just might lead to some scum slipping up. And yes, everybody will have some unfounded pre-conceptions. So I'll indulge you: I ALWAYS find Krypsyn suspicious. But he isn't in this game. The second one I am always a bit wary of is JMich, because he is just too invisible. Always participating just enough to avoid lurking charges, but never showing anything off his hand. Might just mean that he's a good player, but it's also a known playstyle he can very well hide behind. So I tend to watch him more closely than others. Third one is actually bler, since I have never played with him and I think one has to watch unknown players to get to know them.

bler144: Except that I offset it by saying 'mart, thus simultaneously perhaps hinting at a low INT. Though I guess would have been better, it didn't fit the accent.
Now that's a bit far fetched. [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_forum_mafia_29_the_deep_smelly_dungeon/post18]Didn't you say it yourself your character posses an accent? Accents don't correlate to intelligence at all. Still, for the sake of the argument I didn't actually think you were bread crumbing, but this excuse makes me another look at it.

QuadrAlien: It's still absolutely tiny, but is it that bit from Fallout 2 where you can have a full eloquent conversation with really low Intelligence with a similarly mentally-challenged NPC?
It's way larger than before and large enough to read unless you are on some 4K monitor. Even then you can zoom it :) And yes, it's from Fallout 2.

Woo, I'm completely average and ordinary!
And, I've posted four times? Really? I don't remember that...

It would also appear that I'm cloaest to the lynch too :(
You bad people!

Not much in the way of real information to go on, we're very much still in RVS.
So, in the interest of trying to guess what the stats might be for... mine seem to relate to my flavour but not particularly to my role. My flavour and role also seem to be a little mismatched.
If I were to guess... I've pondered about running a game with another game running inside it (basically something that keeps everyone busy and talking to give more info to analyse) and I wonder if yogs hasn't had a similar idea. The only problem with this hypothesis being if that were the case I would expect there to be more info in play already as no is the time we could really do with something to get us talking...
I still expect we may be called upon to perform various actions at some point and the stats will effect the success or failure of them.

*waits for the vote from trent for mentioning the word role*

Bookwyrm627: I can't speak for others, but that text is WAY too small for me to read, and I'm assuming the text is the important bit because I only see two dudes standing on a street corner for the picture.
You're joking, right? I thought it was bigger than what I was used to in Morrowind on an actual full screen. This and you can always just zoom in on the image in a browser.

I don't know, it could be because I'm on my phone but neither of the links leads to a readable picture for me...

CSPVG: Having said all of this: Would any of you be willing to indulge me with a list?
Sure, what the heck. I'll bite. Skimming back over the thread, here's the most noteworthy things I've seen. The quality of these sorts of "tells" should be obvious. Order is roughly of order I came across it in the thread.

Wyrm: First to talk about doing anything with the corpse of cristigale. Lift, Sage, Bler, and CSPVG have participated.
CSPVG: Asking players for suspicion lists (Hijack, then JMich). Hijack declined to answer, JMich igored the question entirely.
Bler: First to bring up stats. Hijack, Lift, Wyrm, and Adalia speculated on stats too.
Sage: First to talk about powers of the ring (sort of). Wyrm and Bler speculated too.
Bler: First to talk about just ditching the ring/quest. Lift came out against it.
Dedo: First "accusation" of fishing.
CSPVG: Provided a list of 3 "suspicious" people.
Adalia: Asks someone (Wyrm) to appear scummy. Dedo counter accuses Adalia.
Lift: First "accusation" about breadcrumbing; his vote on Bler solidifies a little. Bler defends.
Trent: Questions about the suspicion list. JMich speculates on reason.
Wyrm: Suggests someone complaining about RVS lead the way out of RVS; declines to appear scummy to get out of RVS.
Wyrm: First to provide more serious game analysis/speculation. JMich discounts some of it.
CSPVG: Defends asking for suspicion lists. Opens the floor for alternatives.

-CSPVG actually seems to be doing a little work to get out of RVS. Wyrm too, or so I'd like to believe.
-Bler (presumably) joked about ditching the quest and getting out while the getting is good.
-Lift appears to be starting to latch on to what is likely a joke in order to push for a lynch.
-JMich seems a bit cranky about being stuck in RVS, but doesn't seem to be doing anything to try and move the game along. If one is feeling particularly uncharitable, his down playing of the (self labeled) useless post counting could be viewed as an attempt to break any possible momentum before it gets going.
-Dedo and Lift seem to be the first to question a player on "standard" game concepts (fishing, breadcrumbing) as opposed to non-relevant topics (a player's alignment in past games).
-Trent will probably object (with vote) to any attempts to talk about PMs or Roles.

So, in conclusion, I don't see anything that has happened that is vote worthy. The most objectionable things so far are probably from Bler (joke), JMich (RVS complaint with no alternative), and Lift (vote latch on joke). "Offenders" sorted alphabetically.

CSPVG: If not, how does everyone think we should proceed? Please don't simply tell me,"Do as we always do: We're going to hunt scum!"
How about we nominate Trent (or JMich) to come up with an idea to proceed! I've been itching to do this to Trent for a few games now, but either Yogsloth or I have shot our mouths off to try and break up RVS. No one has really talked roles or PMs (except for stats) yet, so this might be the perfect time!

Alternatively, select a player, call them a lurker, and vote for them. Most people are lacking in number of posts, content in posts, or both. Lynch the "lurkiest" player, and hope something interesting happens tomorrow.

I got a couple "WTF, Wyrm?" and then it was sort of forgotten about half way through Day 2. No collateral for me.

I'm looking forward to seeing whether we've got a bunch of orcs or goblins or something in our midst. Like "Oh, hey. I didn't notice he was a huge black orc with white face paint and "<3 EVIL" tattooed on his cheek until we killed him just now. Hunh, who let him in the party YOGSLOTH?"

You have it wrong. You can mention a role all day, as long as you are not talking about your role or PM. Now in this instance yes I do find it a bad thing that you are discussing how stats relate to your role and flavour. What does it gain town at this moment for people to start talking PM flavour or any role information?

Granted you have not gone into any details in particular, but be the simple fact of bringing it up it opens the door for more discussion on the subject and then someone will start talking about their PM or any role information they might have. At this stage of the game the only people that will benefit is scum, and I do not care to see scum getting any more advantage than they already have.

So no I am not going to place a vote for this, but if more discussion about PMs or roles is brought up by you I will certainly place my vote as it would be a scummy move to be hunting for role or PM information.

Here's what I'm seeing. This is from the second link that Dedo posted. His first attempt looked more or less the exact same.

TLDR. Just kidding, I had the same thought that the villains here should be completely obvious visually (is it the orc, the goblin, the half-spider, and the ogre? Possibly?).

I think there's some reality to the fact that, given that wyrm and I talk the most, we're most likely to say something eventually that can be construed as scummy in Day 1. I will, however, state for the record that I'm a terrible liar. I melted down in the last game just trying to bluff.

@Yog - Rabbit pellets smell just fine - a bit like grass, it's the urine that smells bad. Though I think the pellets do have some risk of carrying E. coli, FWIW. Then again, anything you pick off the floor of DSD is probably non-hygenic.

@CSP - Who's scummy...well, let's see. Last game I had no suspicion at all of dedo and he was scum. This game I likewise have no suspicion at all that dedo is scum. Therefore it's only logical to conclude that he's scum, precisely because I don't think he's scum. At the moment, that is my best lead.

I think it's pretty infallible.

bler144: TLDR. Just kidding, ...
Please, don't do that! HighjacK and I fought about a tl;dr in the last game in which I participated - and that didn't help tonw. I know you are joking and this time you made it, thankfully, quite obvious. So this time there is no damage done.
But I still think that jokes can get dangerous in this game. Especially since we, in my opinion, cannot allow 'Just kidding' as a catch all excuse. Otherwise scum, when caught at a slip, can always use the 'JK' excuse! So, careless jokes can be used to muddy the waters, which only help scum!
At work and only able to skim but. Saying something about a movie and marriage is now talking about powers lol. I needed a laugh after my day so far.

Yeah, I see that now, as well. It seems it's not an actual image but some caching mechanism or asset serving utility that recreates as the smallest thumbnail ever after some period.

3rd time's the charm :)
