attaboy!

Another thing I forgot to ask you about. How exactly did you protect me?

@lift sorry to tell you, but I will flip town and everyone will just have to figure out who is lying. I could be wrong about dedo, but I'm pretty secure in my thoughts of him being town. It's the reason I chose to protect him. Whoever I chose to protect I had to protect from that moment on. I almost went with RW instead, guess I should have as he could help shed some light on this big mess going on.
Are you willing to elaborate on exactly how your ability works? You pick one player, and then you take the first NK made against them for the rest of the game? You don't choose a player to visit each night?

On any night I could choose to protect someone, but once I did choose someone that's who I was protecting the rest of the game. All I know is if any action occurred against the person I was protecting that would result in their death I would be killed instead.

I know the bodyguard takes the bullet but what exactly did you do during the night?

Given the limit on your action, what was your thinking in committing on N1?

And presumably you have a bit more flavor than that. I know you can't cut/paste, but can you try and put the whole PM together in one post?

Just be very, very careful with that.

I made a camp close to yours so I could keep an eye on you.

@bler I'm not sure what you are wanting exactly. I don't think the details of my PM mean anything. After the game is over I'm sure yogs will post all the PMs.

CSPVG: Having thought about it, I guess you could say that telekinesis is magical. I still think it's an oddly specific suggestion, though. Why not suggest that it was done through something like conjuration or sorcery.

Perhaps I'm just making something out of nothing.
Different individuals have different ideas in such situations. I don't think there's a rule for a first thought to be "conjuration". As for telekinesis in some fantasy universes it is considered magic, hence my suggestion, but alas, I was just exploring new possibilities. I don't think at this point is even something worth pursuing.

You are no Legolas...

Interesting find however. Kinda ironic that you had a night action on each other.

Heh, I remember that one. xD

As for the mass claim suggestion. I do not inherently believe it is an instant win for town if it happens. If scum have roles that blend in well with town roles and then select their targets based on their role importance and towniness there are high chances for town to lose. Yes, the strategy has been viable in the past, but there's no guarantee it will be viable in the future as well. The high school game comes to mind. There was an early mass claim and the game still went to the very last 3 players.

On a different note though, should we also talk about adalia's wagon? I feel like we haven't really touched that subject.

Also, holy shit, posts started rolling like mad even before I was awake. So many pages to read in such little time. Still catching up to everything.

God f*cking dammit Joe, why didn't you tell something happened to you when you pushed for others to do it? If it wasn't for this I would have kept quiet...

I went through my PM a bunch of times. This actually checks in with what I saw.

I took a short nap first, woke up to find my stuff lying around with the sticker and coloring book missing. I threw some coloring supplies away in my rage and went to find Trent. Almost bumped in him on the way but he didn't see me at first. He was dragging his camp gear with him to some higher spot, he settled there and then was when the tracking result resolved. I was certain that he was seeing my bed from there and he looked at me. I got scared, started to sneak back and toppled the rock.

He drew his WEAPON! I actually made a mistake here, not a dagger, not a knife, but a weapon! Until now I was certain it was a dagger, no idea where I got that from, maybe Hearthstone. He also said some stuff I couldn't pick up since I was already at my site. Couldn't see him from there anymore.

Initially I got the impression that he was going back from visiting me to his spot from where he continued to look at me, but Trent has too much info I didn't share.

Shit.
@Trent - I was mostly just seeing if your PM tied your class/race/stats/role together in some narrative or intelligible fashion. Yog seems to be embracing his inner storyteller

HijacK: As for the mass claim suggestion. I do not inherently believe it is an instant win for town if it happens.
I don't think I suggested it was an instant win. More just that town is already down 2 and could wake up in the morning down 4.

Likewise, I don't really think the debate is whether Dedo is lying or Trent is lying, I think it's more "Trent lying vs. What was Trent thinking on withholding the rock/knife bit?" Or possible Trent vs. Lift, since Lift's claim is really what puts the hammer on Trent. In theory there's a healer/guardian out there who knows whether that's true or not.

I don't think mass claim is an automatic win, no, but there is an amazing amount of information on the table right now, and a mass claim could potentially corroborate big pieces of what's on the table and vice versa because of all the breadcrumbs. In short, right now we have a whole bunch of puzzle pieces in front of us. Tomorrow at least some of those pieces will likely be lost.

Maybe town gains more by keeping its remaining roles secret for another day, and maybe it gains more by putting the pieces together while it still can. I think it's the latter and that there's a danger in always playing conventionally rather than adapting, but very clearly I'm the lone opinion on that score.

But, for example, a mass claim could tell us who might be lying about something as simple as being visited, in the same way Dedo's claim told us something about someone who lied about not having anything unusual happen in the night. In short, there's a lot right now we could corroborate, or at least tie people to a statement where, if they lie right now, they run some risk of being outed, which may push them to make mistakes.

I know I think too much about structure, but I think the structure of this game should be pushing us to take advantage of all the breadcrumbs in a cohesive way. But I get it, no one else agrees.

dedoporno: I was certain that he was seeing my bed from there and he looked at me.
That is supposed to read "I was certain that he was seeing my bed from there and he was looking at it". It was implied that he can't tell that I'm not actually in it.

dedoporno: G

I did not want any discussion about what I might have been doing last night. In hindsight I should have said as far as it went for me I heard a noise and drew my blade (You are right it does not say knife in particular) and that was it. Did not have to go into detail about what I was doing, although I have a feeling you would have been more apt to push what I was doing since you had tracked me LOL
Out for a while. Kind of hoping we don't rush to a decision. Something feels un-right here.

I was reading this post very seriously and then couldn't help but burst in laughter and be like "Wut?".

My thoughts exactly...

dedoporno: He drew his WEAPON!
I don't see how this changes much though. The camp thing may give a different perspective, but there's still info we don't have.

The inconsistency that makes me question this whole situation is the whole protection bit. If maybe Lift could tell us how his flavor bit being protected was worded maybe we can work the discrepancies between the 2 claims.

This assumes someone is lying about their actions, flavor, or is really bad at fabricating something plausible. Careful. It is always better to overestimate the opposition instead of underestimating it. I may have watched too much Naruto, but what's worse than lack of information is misinformation.

Almost midnight for me as well. I no longer know what to do. I started this and I'm willing to take responsibility for it.

One last thing. Initially my PM didn't had a short to-the-point result. I was just the flavor. Since I wasn't sure what to make of it I kind of threatened Yog to haunt him until the second coming unless he provides more user friendly reads.

The short answer was Trent visited me. That also made me think he went through my stuff but I guess him watching over me is also technically a visitation for the sake of the tracking result.

So yeah. Shit.
