trentonlf: Somebody F****ng beam her up! LOL
For anyone paying attn at around the 1 min mark - appropriate for this game - that is a young, scruffy David Wenham about a decade before he made his big splash as Faramir.
Thank you for the bump.. zzzzSLEEPzzzz

lol - np. Sleep well!

I will say, in response to your longer post, I assumed
1) that you went to bed an hour ago ;)
2) CSP was joking about the whole 'people who vote for people not in the game are scummy.' Either way, he either failed to note that I voted for Kryp, or failed to note that Kryp isn't in this game either.

On which note, Unvote Krypsyn though it seems a bit unnecessary to cancel a vote that never counted in the first place.

Bookwyrm627: Not gonna lie: if that Ring Wraith bit gets me killed on Day 1 (again), I'm going to be irked and just hide behind Poe's Law during Day 1 of future games. Until I get bored of it, anyway. And if you decide to try and wait out my boredom, just keep in mind that I beat the NES version of Final Fantasy 1.
So, that was a joke, right? I thought it was a bit over the top to be serious, but who knows.

Anyway, I strongly suggest FFIII/VI - best game of the entire series to date (in my opinion, of course).

Sage103082: I am sorry for my absence. I did worn I was starting a new job in the sign up and that the first few days were going to be hell.
Hey! I never got around congratulating you on the new job, JKitty! I'm glad for you (actually everyone who started something new), show them how it's done :*

Sage103082: Thank you now I am going to be thinking about the SNL skit put a ring on it while I beg myself to sleep. Meanie head.
Yeah, there only one relevant skit video and that's it.

I actually thought it was quite lame... and I still don't get it. Ah well, not everyone's as good as me when it comes to humor. Girls always tell me I'm funny. *does a cool pose*

bler144: JMich: playing as expected. No one has gone full-Yog yet to pull him to the table. To his credit, he has refrained from saying "I told you so" regarding no one listening to him D1 last game.
But I did. See the post game of last game.
Dammit, I should really use adalia's script for looking up those sorts of things. I've caught the scum team of four (rather a high number, yogsloth): flubbucket, trentonlf, Sage, and bler.

I say we go for flubbucket first, just so that we can make him pay for what he did last game.

Also, fair enough to anyone that doesn't want to share a preliminary scum list. I'm still waiting for any of you to suggest anything other than,"We'll wait until yog gives us a deadline and then vote for someone for a 'reason'."

That's all fine and dandy but...

Is this even for real? I'm starting to question my ability to differentiate between humours remarks and actual opinions.

I do agree with your warning about not letting everyone slip into the defense of JK, but in this case, I was joking. In truth, it's near lunchtime here, and all I'm doing is sitting, alone, and staring at columns of text on my computer, so I'm bored and wondering what the hell I should do. This then led me to making a post.

Beating FF1 on NES is not a joke. Being irked if I get lynched over the Ring Wraith bit is not a joke. However, the Ring Wraith bit itself IS a joke.

I tried FF3/6, but it just didn't quite live up to expectations. Maybe too many people hyped it, maybe I should have been playing it on the SNES instead of the CD release (faster load times on SNES), maybe it had too many seemingly random party members (Gau, Setzer), maybe I just needed to get through the Floating Continent part. I dunno. It just didn't grab me the way some of the others did.

I did make some suggestions. Just because you might not have liked them doesn't mean I didn't make suggestions. Part of the problem with breaking out of RVS is that, from what I've seen so far, whoever does it seems to be putting their life on the line. Not a good encourager.

I agree that "We'll wait until yog gives us a deadline and then vote for someone for a 'reason'." is a bad idea. RVS is one of the hardest parts of the game, we have such little information to go on that all we can do is continue to engage one another and see what develops.

Forewarning: I'm trying to keep the discussion going by responding. I'm not trying to kill it by questioning.

Engage each other on what? We've probably come pretty close to beating the flavor jokes to death, there isn't any "hard" information unless someone dips into PM/Role, and we've probably seen all of the ideas people have about the game based on what is available in the OP (everyone: if you have something new to share regardless of how outlandish, then please share!).

Shall we start going after each other over the various RVS votes?

To be honest I'm wondering if we shouldn't just pick a player at random and start placing votes... ok, it's not the best way to do it, but odds are that we are going to hit town day 1 anyway, so does it matter which of us we hit?
From what I've seen it's pretty rare for scum to make a sizeable slip on day 1 (except for that one time when I did it) so just waiting around hoping for scum to come along and go "Oh yeah, me and my buddies were just saying in scum day chat that RVS is soooooo boring!" isn't going to work. Without discussing roles or game mechanics (which is dubious at best at drawing out information or slips) then what exactly is there to talk about?
Anything that's 'safe' is safe for scum too, I can ask you all how your day has been or what you had for dinner, but I'm unlikely to get anyone to reveal anything damning by doing so.
I think CSPVG isn't really far off the mark. Pick a target based on whatever gut feeling or random criteria you have and go for it. Once there are some votes on the table and the heat is on then you can start to make judgements on whether someone's behaviour is scummy or not (is their defence a little too casual or a little too desperate? Are they too eager to lynch someone, or not eager enough?)

And before anyone suggests it, I'm not in favour of No Lynch day 1. I said it CSPVG's game, killing people is actually in town's favour as it (should) give us flips and info. Another townie dead is another confirmed player and one less target to possibly be scum.
And who knows? We might even get lucky and hit scum!
