Tarnicus: both major parties in Australia are atrocious and serve no-one but their puppet masters
What!? I expected that you were better than that in Australia!
Is no country safe from that sort of influence? Are there no real, trustworthy politicions anymore? Or is it that those never manage to go anywhere?

As you requested.

That's not something we should discuss here. Especially not in the way you did it. Don't tell Russian users to stop invading other countries. I bet Rodor's got nothing to do with Ukraine and Crimea.

blotunga: ... You can always select USD as your currency. That way the exchange rate's impact is less.
You always have the impact of the exchange rate - I mean even if you buy with USD prices here someone has to convert to your local currency bank account in the middle (paypal, visa, someone else) with the actual exchange rate. Having the two currencies here just means that everyone could always choose the better one. So if GOG by chance undervalues the local currency buy in USD or the other way around.

I don't really expect GOG to closely track the exchange rate but rather apply a moving average over some time window. After all they are not a bank and do not have the time for this. Having local currencies is probably only good if the currencies do not fluctuate a lot. Having worldwide just USD prices was working fine. But you always have the full impact of the exchange rate, which way ever.

What makes it even worse is that there are Americans (like myself) here and he's giving shit to a Russian. XD That's like being in a room with the president of Dow Chemical and a hairdresser and proceeding to blame the hairdresser for air pollution. XD
LOL
Not the last candidate I would vote for. :-P

C'mon, guys, isn't it a too much attention to a mass-media zombiefied person? It would be better for people like him/her to shut down his/her TV/Internet and take a walk on fresh air. Don't know what wheather now is in Indonesia, but here in Russia is wonderful winter. Well, you know - general Frost, drunken bears with red-starred balalaykas... Hyperborean paradise.

Rodor: As for now (5 January 2015), GOG rates 1 dollar = 86,68 rouble... Guys, are you lost in time?
Do I understand that correctly? You can change your currency to roubles?

Huh, I only have USD and EUR available and whichever of these I use, I always pay bank's conversion fee from AUD...
WTH?

That's strange. I recall hearing from other Australians that they did have an option to pay in Australian dollars. You should contact support and ask them why this doesn't apply to you.

Yes, I have a "currency switcher" in the lower right corner. It allows me to choose between USD and RUB only though.

Russia is so damn big I think the winter would depend on where in the country you are. XD I would imagine a wonderful winter is in fact wonderful down south while further north you are dealing with the same shit I am.

Rodor: I'd want to know where GOG does take this rate?

I'm from Russia, and our national currency was under market speculators' attack recently, but now it's going up, when the panic is over. Basing on our Russian currency boards, dollar/rouble now is 1/53. But GOG rouble prices are much higher.
Bumping this thread. The currency conversion on GOG for the ruble seems to have been fixed. A $9.99 game is now equal to 679 rubles.
