Who the hell is going back to school this late in the month of September?
If there is a GOG representative over here:

I joined GOG Connect today. And yeah, I know I'm late to the party but there are any chances I still get the DRM-free versions of the games as per this link : https://www.gog.com/news/introducing_gog_connect ?

Thank you!
It seems my account is bugged again, last time I wasn't able to "connect" any of my eligible steam games and I had to email Support.

My Steam account is already linked but the GOG connect page doesn't show me an option to redeem the games I own:

- Baldur gate
- Hotline miami
- Shadow warrior
- Two world Epic

I can safely say the answer would be, "Not unless the publishers decide to offer them in the GOG Connect program again in the future, since all games are only offered for a limited time."

skeletonbow: It would seem that I own 28 THQ Nordic games on GOG at the moment. No easy way to calculate it in a jiffy but I think that's more than I own from other single publisher out of 507 titles owned. :)
avatar
vicklemos: See? Told ya! :)
I mean, so many titles, mostly good/great ones, so it's pretty natural, right?
I'd have to agree I believe, or it could possibly create a rift back in the time-space continuum with which Sega acquired Nordic or something prior to GOG being created, and GOG ending up like Shinyloot. :)

skeletonbow: A single purchase on GOG is one code with all the games on it. When it is redeemed there is a check box beside each game for the person redeeming it to claim individual games. For any games not redeemed the code remains valid to be used again potentially by someone else. If you are comfortable giving a code to others and trusting them to not redeem codes other than the ones you've indicated are theirs to take, then this is fine. If you need to ensure one game goes to one person without all games appearing on one code, then you need to make separate individual purchases though.

nepundo: That's ok. If I don't play all the games, I'm thinking most probably community giveaway if/when it comes to life again, and moonshineshadow reported only one stolen game vs 1432 given (and it happened with a code that had been given in the previous edition). Looks like active community members can be trusted :)

Thanks for the explanation!

(By the way, thanks to inspecting games to make it to ten, I've just discovered Sacrifice. Reviews are so good that it has been promoted from the "buy for the bundle discount" to the "I have to play this" category :))
Yeah, I think if you review the "known scammers list" and carefully exclude others who may not yet be on that list but have demonstrated a poor public track record with respect to trustworthiness you'll probably be ok. Just make sure whoever wins such a giveaway is told to "carefully ensure that you only check the box for the game which you have won" and I think people should be smart enough to ensure they redeem only the one game they've won. I've only heard of a small handful of complaints in the forums in a few years now of people redeeming more than they should have so it seems rare. I know when I have had to redeem a single game off of a multi-code I always take extra special care before clicking on the final commit, as it would be super embarrassing to make a mistake and then have to do all of the follow-up steps to fix the problem.

zeogold: On one hand, I'm thrilled to see they didn't just abandon Connect.
On the other hand, this means that we're going to have "Is Connect abandoned?" threads for the next month and a half after the sale's over.
Yup, it is a permanent fixture of annoying mass proportion now. :)

IAmSinistar: I think you need a fresh squirrel on the treadmill. Either that or stop stress-testing GWENT while the sale is running. ~_~
Um.... they're not going to run the game server software on the exact same computers that the GOG website/store/download infrastructure is running on. LOL

I'm not a GOG representative, but I do know the answer to your question, which is "no". Sorry for the bad news. :)

Zoidberg: Too bad about Vampire Masquerade not being 75% off again, make it that way and you'll get a sale, guys!
Again? Do you mean Bloodlines? Had that already been discounted by 75% on GOG? The maximum discount I remember was about 67%, the same as it's discounted now.
Quick question: The games that don't have a timer on the store page, like VtM:Bloodlines, how long will their discount last? Until the last day or only 24 hours?

The price it is at now is the cheapest it has ever been on GOG.com, however it has been sold for cheaper on Steam previously.

Till the end of the sale, same as the bundles/collections.
Awesome! Are the sale items lasting the duration or cycling in and out? I imagine the current batch will be around with tomorrow's batch and then if it is like normal drop off when the third round comes in... Thanks!
