It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Crewdroog: Is this happening to anyone else right now? If i have chat open on another tab, it keeps causing firefox to crash.
Does this happen only with multiple tabs when one of them hosts chat or is it the same when chat is the only tab opened?

Potential workaround would be to open Firefox in Safe Mode to rule out any add-on incompatibility with whatever changed since chat started crashing. Other solution is to use different browser only for that purpose. If you're willing to try it, Midori is pretty fast and resilient against bloated scripts.

Crewdroog: lol thanks...

yeah no, i'm not sending long messages. I said "hi" and then boom. and it was a crash, it wanted to send a report and i had to restart my browsers. I tried just having gog forums open and no problems. gog forum with other crap open, no problems. chat open, boom again.
See what you did now? You and Ritualisto caused a chain reaction, and now more and more GOGgers have to suffer. What were you thinking trying to be high in GOG chat?

Everything's fine, they just brought colored logo back and there where everyone can see it. Bullseye!
Revamped the layout a bit too, optimised for... something.

For me Firefox crashs also if only GOG chat tab is open (not direct just after some time). Nothing changed since crash happens (same version 40.0.2, no new addons, no updated addons). Crash started this evening (I'm from Germany).

My workaround is to write the message in Word and copy it to chat and close chat tab after this.

I didn't mean something changed on your end, but possibly with the chat code itself, which might have caused some incompatibility either with Firefox itself or witn any add-on or combination of installed on your machine.

Use nothing but chat, halve everything you type, problem solved.
Yep, thats the security feature top men from GOG added instead of bringing back the missing Clear messages and Block features. Now chat just crashes your browser to protect you from spam and harassment. ;)

Firefox was crashing constantly due to Chat for me yesterday but that hasn't happen today so far.
Problem is solved for me. Just tested Firefox (safe mode: no crash with 1 or more tabs open). Same for Firefox (normal mode now with 1 or more tabs open). I changed nothing. So I guess GOG staff was doing something with chat.

Yep, have been getting a lot of that as well today. Probably the usual derpage that results from any major Galaxy update on the website.

Btw, forgot to tell you but your computer has a virus.

Either that or the specific combination that triggered the glitch didn't happen during your tests. Stay alert!

I will keep an eye on it. I will write here if it happens again.
