GOG recently told me this:
"Since September 2014 order confirmation mail is sent only to the user who has purchased the gift code."

But.. that seems a problem to me.
With such change, I won't be able to provide any receipt for all my gifted games.
I'd like a standalone proof of having obtained them legally!

What do you think?
Yep... it is really annoying that they stopped senting a receipt. Now if you have for example the bug of missing games you can not even prove that you had the game...
They could do something like Steam, which keeps a list of the games you have purchased from them, as well as the keys you have redeemed from other sites.

Yup. I second that.
That's a very important feature and it always annoyed me that there's no such thing here.
bump x2
This is indeed an issue if one loses part of his collection and that was acquired through gift codes.

Did you reply to state your opinion?
I also want some sort of receipts +1
I've made a wishlist entry for the return of the confirmation emails and started a dedicated thread to raise awareness.

Feel free to join the thread and vote.
This is an obvious issue, hopefully it'll be resolved soon.

HypersomniacLive: Did you reply to state your opinion?
Yes, but the answer was that GOG's list is already a proof of legal obtain and that they have logs anyway.

But.. why creating another thread?
I already made this to raise awareness : (

But we don't, and frankly I don't trust them being the only ones keeping logs and legal proof - I can easily imagine things going awry at some backend server, wouldn't be the first time.

I didn't mean to step on your toes, sorry, I just thought that a more aptly named thread and an explanatory OP would help things.
Voted because it only makes sense.

You can still ask a copy of the receipt of the game you have been gifted, but granted it's not really great to create a ticket each time for this -> i got this reply once and got a copy of the receipt.....

They broken one function which worked properly :/

yes, but in the receipt there's a transaction ID, which you don't have in the game list ....
