Brutal Legend. Such a misunderstood game. I so often read comments on the game along the lines of "I thought I was getting a hack-and-slash game and instead found myself playing an RTS with really bad controls! If only they could remake this in such a way that the first part of the game just keeps going and we never have to do the stage battles." The truth of it is that the game never stops being a hack-and-slash - you have to play it by diving into the fray as often as possible and using all the hack-and-slash moves the game has taught you (attack, block, magic attack, guitar solos, double-team attacks, etc.), BUT it also adds the wrinkle that you have to do all this and capture resource points that will let you bring new units into battle. So there are RTS aspects but it always remains primarily a game about beating the hell out of enemies up close instead of flying overhead and commanding secondary units. Far from being a very hard game, it's actually very easy even on hardest difficulty, especially if you take the time to explore the open world and get all the guitar solos to power up your guy.

DracoMagister: Heroes of Might and Magic IV.

This is the most hated game in the series but I like it so much. It added some interesting new features that I really liked, it's a different game than H3 but that is not bad thing. I know it had some problems with AI and the unbalanced Death castle, but I liked the overall product as nearly as much as I liked the previous version, and that's a lot.
^ This. Also Deadly Premonition, it's so bad it's actually... not so bad? ;)

Grargar: Serious Sam 2. Adding to the heresy level, I actually found it better than the First Encounter.
That might be going a bit far, but it's a fun game with lots of fun little things to find.
And I suppose I do like the happy happy jungle theme more than the deserts of First Encounter.
I thought fallout brotherhood of steel was going to suck based on what others said but I really enjoyed it!
I recently completed Lifeless Planet, which I thought was rather good. It's a bit overpriced, never seems to have a decent sale discount, and I wish there had been a bit more back story, but I really enjoyed it.
Duke Nukem Forever - not a good game but it can be fun in that campy sort of way but do use the 4 weapon limit since that does make the game more fun.
Ultima IX-Same thing with Superman 64.It's so bad that I just can't help but enjoy it.

I really should try BL again. The first mission with that ackward team management thing really turned me off the game and I uninstalled it pretty quickly. But before that I really did like the atmosphere of the game.
Skyward Sword.

And welp fuck me when I say this:

Ultima 9, At least from what I have seen from this guy's playthrough:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9zfm93ZISo&index=27&list=PLU7mS7KPWwCF5vGg6ktEOVijm6Krxe4GI

Like its amazing who this game has everything other RPGs take for granted. It had a true 3D open world land before GTA 3 and Morrowind came to be and I especially like how there is no loading screens or instances when you go inside a Dungeon. Even getting items from chests you see the things inside the chest itself instead of going to another menu screen.

It just look like it set a foundation for all 3D open world PC RPGs in my eyes from a Gameplay perspective.

(Please tell me GOG address all the bugs in this game)

Ultima 8 sort of counts aswell since it could have been good anyway had they not screw up the development.

I second this, for such a disjointed I had a lot of fun with it.

I've always liked Ultima 8, but then again I played it only after they had fixed the supposedly horrible platform jump controls. I like the world of Pagan and the game is atmopsheric as hell. There's also the thing that when you think about the plot you do some very unlike Avatar kind of things, which in the end might destroy the world of Pagan as whole considering you demolish the whole titans thing.

It has crappy combat, but no moreseo than in Ultimas 6-7. I don't even mind the lack of companions or the reduced interactivity possibilities, as I've never really been one to bake bread or something like that in games, I can do chores in real life if I feel like it.
Duke Nukem Forever

Enjoyed it thoroughly, btw - no idea if the servers are still online but if anyone wants to deathmatch in the PS3 version, let me know.

It's certainly a flawed game, but IMO it's mostly in the sense that the side-missions are numbingly repetitive and I wish the single-player campaign was longer. I find the core gameplay fun and the style and soundtrack are pure candy for metalheads like me :)
Metroid - Other M. A game in which a mute girl in a skin-tight suit finally got a three-dimensional character and people called it sexist. Not that the story could have been better but it was a real good one compared to many other games and the Gameplay was really solid except for a few hiccups here and there. That's my point and I'll stick by it. :)

EDIT: I liked DNF as well. If anything, I felt Duke was a bit underpowered sometimes but apart from that it was mostly silly and brainless fun. Exactly what I expected.

Too Human, great game with odd controls, but when you get used to them, you wonder why more games don't use them, awesome combat rpg.

Alpha Protocol, just awesomeness on a stick, got a lot of unjustified hate at release, great game.
