BanditKeith2: Eh this site is a good one to check
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Home I say this as quite frankly oddly several games that work with a controller doesn't have that listed on GOG despite them indeed having controller support
rabblevox: This is a GREAT resource I was unaware of!
Thanks!
No problem glad I could help honestly I found it awhile back given I noticed GOG's oddness on not listing alot of games that has controller support .. Which I found the link in a old thread somewhere on here some time ago .. can't recall where but ya some advise those if you like dos games a safe bet is they have controller support .. I don't know why Dos games like 9 out of 10 Dos games has controller and/or joystick support yet Windows games of the same era seems to usually lack it from my experience but ya any Dos games you can be pretty much assured so long as you have a controller or joystick you are set on them.. Not a full on guarantee but it seems very common of em..
Anyway sorry for rambling just was sorta on topic and was like''might aswell share a odd factoid thats related to the topic'' sort of thing
Also if you want a sorta sonic like game Jazz Jackrabbit 1 and 2 has controller support and is on here or if you want a newer one for sure inspired by sonic games then Freedom planet is a clear cut one thats on here too .. Just felt like suggesting some games aswell as I have seen plenty of people wishing sonic games would be on here and they do tend to scratch that sonic game itch for alot of people
_Auster_: While I don't know exactly which games support controller and which don't, a workaround in case a game doesn't support controllers is using programs that emulate keyboard and mouse keys in your controller, like Antimicro and JoyToKey. Once properly set up, playing with those input emulators usually feels as if the game had native controller support (although the key icons in-game not changing may be kinda distracting).
Eh even then several games with legit controller support has been put on pc without controller icons/controller directions and just says the keyboard keys/instructions granted most of those are iether back from before a standard controller layout and desing was a thing for pc or ealier days of such getting standard or added way way later on.. that or some cases of indie games though I still see some modern big budget games that are done by big publishers still doing it .. but that seems more like a oversight
