Shmacky-McNuts: I hear UnderRail and StarBound are coming to GOG when they are finished. According to both their developers.
IronArcturus: I'd played an alpha of Underrail a while ago and it was pretty cool! But how is Starbound? Is it similar to Terraria?
Similar to Terraria. But the differences seem to be the never ending vast of space. So you have random generation of all things space and interplanetary. You customize everything, from your ship to most everything else and you fly around looking for more materials to do so. While It'll probably suck @$$ after a few hours of this. I'm hoping they come up with missions and plot elements within the random generator.
What I mean is, I hope when they spawn a tribe of primitives on a planet you just found. The tribe may give you grief by trying to eat you or something and you haul ass to end up finding another tribe that accepts you and then you do missions for them to garner trust or whatever.
I hate games that have no real content. Minecraft for example is one of those, mindless build because you are bored things. Then give the game space meaning by what the player fills it with. But uh...kinda boring as hell because nothing besides building endless crap and no NPC interactions to mimic other people.
Go google Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead. While NPCs are currently borked in that they all start off with a death wish. It is a pretty cool game still in beta and free to download =D
(no DRM or callouts in it + portable, as in memory sticks)
