Lethis - Path of Progress

"Sidani > We're working on this and are currently in contact with GOG. However it appears that the game will be first available on Steam."
That Lethis game looks pretty cool! I hope GOG will get it!
I hear UnderRail and StarBound are coming to GOG when they are finished. According to both their developers.

I'd played an alpha of Underrail a while ago and it was pretty cool! But how is Starbound? Is it similar to Terraria?
I asked the folks who make Lost Orbit about GOG and they seem very interested, specifically noting galaxy and it now being available.

Terraria in space, basically :)
The crowd-funding page for the game '2Dark' (by the creator of Alone in the Dark and Little Big Adventure) mentions a GOG release:

I hope it sells better than http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/2dark might imply.

I wouldn't worry. I think a huge portion of GOG users don't use or aren't aware of the wishlist, and even those who do vote use it mainly for classic games.

That said Turnipslayerr has said it's still a useful tool to gauge interest (and I believe it was hinted at that votes for the General games are one of the reasons GOG bothered to buy them), and personally I still use it to decide what games I should talk to devs/pubs about. (The reasons I contacted the World of Goo and Aquaria guys is because those games had over 300 votes.)

Figure I'll throw out my personal request again: please vote for games you'd buy here that currently have less than 300 votes.

I really wish more people knew about the GOG Wishlist. There are so many games on there that deserve more votes!

'Games like Battle Engine Aquila, , [url=http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/take_no_prisoners]Take No Prisoners, and Urban Assault to name a few! :P

Similar to Terraria. But the differences seem to be the never ending vast of space. So you have random generation of all things space and interplanetary. You customize everything, from your ship to most everything else and you fly around looking for more materials to do so. While It'll probably suck @$$ after a few hours of this. I'm hoping they come up with missions and plot elements within the random generator.

What I mean is, I hope when they spawn a tribe of primitives on a planet you just found. The tribe may give you grief by trying to eat you or something and you haul ass to end up finding another tribe that accepts you and then you do missions for them to garner trust or whatever.

I hate games that have no real content. Minecraft for example is one of those, mindless build because you are bored things. Then give the game space meaning by what the player fills it with. But uh...kinda boring as hell because nothing besides building endless crap and no NPC interactions to mimic other people.

Go google Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead. While NPCs are currently borked in that they all start off with a death wish. It is a pretty cool game still in beta and free to download =D
(no DRM or callouts in it + portable, as in memory sticks)

Imagine Terraria, but with more biomes, a massive amount of useless items, and a massive feature creep.

Random generation isn't always that bad. Have you ever played or [url=http://www.gog.com/game/tower_of_guns]Tower of Guns? Both have randomized levels and they're really fun! I hope GOG can get Our Darker Purpose as well. It's a random, Zelda-like game!

No I meant, random is good, but games not having depth are bad. I cannot play Terraria or Mine Craft etc because they have no reason for me to to play them. I mean...building random crap...well great, for like 10 minutes I guess. But I can't see much point ever turning it back on if I have to build in an empty world where the player is the only thing making stuff happen.

I like to be engaged even by NPCs. I like to walk around in a game world and see random crap doing stuff that makes sense. Like a lion eating a gazelle or something and I'll just be like...hmm...makes sense. The Lion got hungry and ate something XD
