SCPM: GOG has added FromSoftware, Inc. by itself as a new company in the list. I can't help but get my hopes up, but it is most likely just something related to Metal Wolf Chaos XD, which for the time being is still showing as both FromSoftware, Inc. and General Arcade. For reference, on Steam the only titles with the exact match of FromSoftware, Inc. are the Dark Souls games, the rest are a mix or are listed as just FromSoftware, no Inc.
It turned out to be the soundtrack to Metal Wolf Chaos XD.

Well, that's about as deflating as possible.

It's been sooooooooo long since we've gotten something interesting from a major publisher. Probably doesn't hurt that I just started Dragon's Dogma and am dismayed once again that Capcom didn't stick around.

On Kickstarter, I've asked the developer of the game, Helvetii, if it will get a drm-free version, via a personal message. Here's the quote from his response:

Howdy !
Right now we have nothing to announce for DRM-free options but we very much would like to get that option !

I cannot guarantee anything at this point (as it's up to GOG if they'll allow us on their platform), but if we do get to unlock that, we'll make sure to inform our backers that DRM-free keys are available, and will send a survey for people who would like to switch to a DRM free key.
