Zchinque: I don't observe summer time. >.>
So you're just late for everything in the summer? <.<

Vitek: I can't say I am fan of this. It is more benefical for mafia than town, because mafia only miss role, while town won't learn alignment and they don't know how they stand and they don't even know whether they are at lylo or they still have some breathing space.

I admit that I don't know what was going on behind the curtain, but it took you 19 days of non-posting to replace drennan. If you did it after week, there would be no need for extension.
Yeah, I think there should be a cardflip on modkill.

Maybe it took him 12 days to find a replacement?

It's certainly possible, that's why I said that I don't know waht was going on behind the curtain. But, I would at least appreciate if we were informed about it. This way it looked like nothing was happening all the time. If he told us he is looking for replacement or prodding him, it would make me feel better about it than when it went unaddressed. same with NFY, she was able to get away with not posting almost whole Day (15 days) and there was not even hint of her being prodded or something. I think town needs to be informed about this and if we are not informed, I can only assume that nothing is happenening.

Heh, I opened this thread after you posted and before edit and this way it showed me that I read everything in this thread as well as that I have unread quote. :-)

No clue XD Been a decent few days off but now I'm starting to jones for a new game (or just something to do in general)
I agree.
Vitek looks a bit stressed....
If nothing happens by the end of the week, I might start one I guess. I'll be a very busy moderator though (edit : I mean irl busy). Joe says that it's not necessariy an issue...

That's comforting. I've come to the conclusion Joe has no "issues."

Are you putting up your game? I've meant to hassle you about it.

I won't be able to host a game just now, as it is a bit unsure how much time I will have available over the next few months.

However, if anyone is interested I could run a couple of blitz mafia games. I'd need 5-8ish players that could get together at a specific time. About 10 PM UTC - give or take - would work most nights for me, at least for the 2 next weeks or so.

For those who weren't around last time the idea of blitz mafia was brought up, they are shorter (and less 'serious') mafia games played in one sitting. They would all be open or semi-open setup. Merging posts due to double posting would be allowed. What it would require from the players is that they are present and active for the whole game - failing to post for as little as 5-10 minutes could be considered lurking.

To be on the safe side, I would estimate a couple of hours per game, although they could go by much faster - depending on the players and the setup.

I'm definitely up for it if I'm free when you run it.

Sounds almost like a cross between forum mafia and meatspace mafia. Would it be better suited to IRC than a forum or would that be too live?

To be honest, it'd probably work better as and IRC game. I could go both ways, though. Maybe we'd attract a new player or two if they saw a full game happen before their very eyes here on the forums?

I'd do either, whichever the players would prefer.

I think it's certainly more inclusive to do it here on the forums. Everyone just needs to remember to stick with it and not treat it like a normal game.
perhaps that pesky gogfather could send out some invites to interested forum members. I think I just saw it disappear behind a tree.

Maybe.
