Catte has been a bit aggressive and less lurky. I forget where we are with him now? Is that a scumtell or just how his game is now? Without metagaming I understand his logic with regards Gym

NMillar is fairly typical - lurky but aggressive. Sticks to the shadows but comes screaming out of the woodwork with a suckerpunch.
Actually looking at it NMillar is less lurky than I think... certainly more active than I've been. I like his response to Gym breadcrumbing too, direct and pointedly trying to avoid giving away info.

Dedo had some nice-feeling scumhunty stuff going on talking to ZFR about Gym. I don't know how I feel about calling on Gym to claim. On the one hand I get why town would want resolution to Gym's puzzling behaviour, on the other hand I see how mafia would want the information. I guess mafia would be less likely to be so open about it though...

I knew you were going to say this! Well, technically I thought you were going to say Bomb but I had the two roles mixed up and the Paranoid Gun Owner is what I was actually thinking of.

These are a bit iffy though. Your other crumbs were effectively flour bags and these are impossible to make a connection to, in my personal opinion.

Let's assume all of this is true. Can you now explain in more detail exactly what you were trying to achieve by doing things the way you did?

It struck me towards the end of the conversation that you could be a PR who wants to be targeted by Mafia (bomb, party host), but I didn't want to bring it up so as not to give Scum any ideas.

PGO fits with what you did. Not sure if you played it right; it's a difficult PR to play.
I was leaning towards Joe's suggestion of not claiming - you were town-read - however given the role, I think the claim was a good decision. You were more likely to attract a Town investigation than an NK.

Anyway, this narrows down stuff for me.

To be fair I stated a few times I was going to claim, and at least 20ish hours before deadline....so he might've just been reminding me of that.

I outright stated in POST 72 that I had a PR.....yet no one commented on it.

It was more or less a claim and a test of sorts.

I kept it vague to try to keep the town benefit of the PR as long as I could, while also seeing how other players would react to a repeat of the "crumbing" from the HP game.

I was planning to claim if and when I needed, but also tried to keep it secret for a bit longer if possible(while keeping town from triggering my PR's effects if I could, and maybe hitting scum in the night).

Sadly I couldn't accomplish that...and as I didn't want to have town target me and get taken out during N1, and didn't want to be lynched and lose town my vote(and also not be able to play any more), I claimed.

And searching for "bragging" made me see that my bragging rights were same as Pooka's who made them earlier.

I'm interested to see what Catte makes of this.

They were meant to stay hidden, like proper crumbs...while the others were meant to be seen easily and replied to(so I could puzzle my fellow players out as best I could).

I was trying to do the above, and also perhaps go into N1 with my PR hidden and maybe catch a scum with my PR while also hopefully keeping other town from targeting me(and getting taken out in the process).

But as I said a few posts above, too much focus was on me as of late and it was likely town would look into me or target me during the night despite my efforts to prevent it. As I didn't want other town getting taken out along with scum I decided to claim early instead of on D2 or so.

And yeah, I overdid it....the CrUmbing style "crumbing", that is....but then that was the point(to see how people would react to it, and get everyone to focus on it and not the actual crumbs on my PR).

I was planning on full claiming soon enough if need be.....in this case it just came sooner than I would've liked.

(As I said: Optimally I would've liked to have attracted scum to target me and town to leave me alone on N1, and hopefully take out a scum...but that was not to be. Ah well, I was able to lean a few players as town because of the "crumbing" and Lift helped us on his way out of the game as well....so there's a good chance town can win this one, I think)
