ZFR: Ok, seriously I'm flying Monday not available most day and we're still ar RVS.

The only one pinging me in an odd way is Pooka. Feels like he's asking so mych is a bit LAMIST.
Enh, this isn't really my impression. No read on Pooka, but no read on ZFR obviously. Maybe tomorrow when he shows up.
avatar
JoeSapphire: Pooka's put info out about private roles which makes me think he's town, would a mafia risk it? unless their role had clearly stated what town roles would be like... which I wouldn't expect from Trent.
I don't really think vaguely describing what the mod PM contains counts as a risk for Scumpook. I was more pointing out that, given the PM, I don't think a mass identity claim would reveal the scum...which gets us to the next point!

avatar
JoeSapphire: - People wonder why Pooka assumes two mafiosos... it would be my guess too. And, while it's worth not forgetting, I think his fearless sharing of role info is more indicative.
Nah. blotunga referenced the "Disney good guys and bad guys" deal, which he even admits he actually understood in reverse.

avatar
PookaMustard: Why? I got my newer style of play by reading part of a special Mafia game on Bay12. And yes, the last game also gave me pointers on where I messed up. I don't think it's something to worry about? At least, I think it's less LAMIST and more "anybody could do what he did."

I was town last game. I am still a guy this game.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. Looking back at my posts, I see only one mention of "eight town two mafia" from me, and it wasn't even town or mafia. Closest I had was "8 Disney bad guys and 2 Disney good guys" to yogsloth, based on my theory and expectation that Trent wouldn't leave a clue on our alignment based on whether one is playing a good or a bad character.
avatar
blotunga: Meh, i read the reverse, that's what I get for reading diagonally.
So let me clarify on this (mathematically). What I meant originally was that there could be:

X Disney good guys
Y Disney bad guys
Where Y > X

Trent, in choosing this sudden Disney setting, has very likely thought about this bit being brought up as a way to catch scum. So a mass-identity-claim is likely not to yield any decent results.

----

Now, given the development with Yogsloth, I'm keeping my vote on him. But with the looming deadline, we do have to decide on someone to lynch before the Night officially begins. A no-lynch won't be beneficial for Town, as we'll have less concrete info that we can use later.
avatar
PookaMustard: Now, given the development with Yogsloth, I'm keeping my vote on him.
It's true - I finally graduated out of my training bra!
@pooka: I don't think trent would make it thay easy, though joe did make it that easy last time. Also I'm town and not a Disney bad guy.
avatar
yogsloth: It's true - I finally graduated out of my training bra!
You gotta watch those man boobs, we don't want to start calling you Pamela....
avatar
JoeSapphire: I think he mentioned this trip in the sign-up thread too...
I know, that's my point. That he won't be available until almost deadline which is bad for us for different reasons depending on his alignment.

avatar
PookaMustard: Now, given the development with Yogsloth, I'm keeping my vote on him.
What is that development you speak of?
avatar
Bookwyrm627: ZFR apparently did not hit Random.org, which is a pattern break for him.
avatar
dedoporno: I believe ZFR opted out of that last game. Speaking of him he is the only one that makes me feel a bit nervous at the moment as he isn't around to take part and normally he is among the more active players so that probably matters.
Yes, I gave up on random.org last game as I mentioned.
I'm flying to Ireland o Monday so won't be there at all for the deadline. Arriving Tuesday morning UCT.
I'll vote before leaving but at this stage no one is giving me any strong vibes.

Pooka, after his reply the scum-o-meter moved back towards T.
Flub... meh.
Korotan. Feels odd, but he felt odd last game too. Im not sure how he'd play as a mafioso, and Im curious *if* he is scum, whether his game changes after coaching.
Joe, and Pooka, why assume 2 scum only? I'll admit my first impression was 3, but thats pribably because it was 3 in every game I played so far, except Shodan's Children.
Yogsloth feels odd , but Ive only seen him when he subbed a scum.

Dedo feels most town.

Unless they give a bad slip I dont see myself voting dedo, Bookwyrm, micro on D1.
avatar
Bookwyrm627: Is that accurate? That doesn't look accurate.
avatar
trentonlf: Looks right to me, have I missed something?
I never unvoted. I wasn't sure if I was forgetting something that might have removed my vote for me.

Also, I didn't notice at the time, but the last vote count was also incorrect, unless the rule about unvoting being required is incorrect.

So,
@Mod: For a new vote to count, are we required to first unvote? Or does a new vote supercede an old vote?

By my count, it should probably be:
Flub - Blotunga
Yog - Pooka
Wyrm - JoeS, Yog
Korotan - Wyrm

But that assumes that unvotes aren't needed. If they are needed, then my vote should be on Yog.

dedoporno: I believe ZFR opted out of that last game.
Ah. I didn't read last game, so I didn't know he'd already broken the Random.org pattern. Good for him; lets Light up Blotunga.

Trent has already said flavor will have no bearing on the game.

Let's find some other avenue of attack, shall we? Or else just mass claim names so we don't have to think about them for the rest of the game.

-----

Blotunga, Pooka, Joe, and Yog all know how to vote. I'll give them a pass, even though Joe is saying nice things about me while simultaneously nominating me for removal.

Micro has voted, but unvoted. ZFR should be voting soon-ish.

Korotan, Flub, and Dedo have all failed to vote at any point.

Flub already has a vote. Lets go there.

I have not failed to vote. That would mean I either vote non corect or we hammer already one or time ran out before I have voted. But this is not the case. I just wait before I vote to really be sure on something or like last game I would just jump on who seems now right.

What's your case on flub?

Stories or truth?
I have it on good authority (my imagination) that he is instead a) flying to Australia or b) taking a boat to Ireland.

Therefore, as nothing and nobody has vehemently stood out to me

@mod Vote ZFR

Also, I believe that the good guys and bad guys are assigned randomly.

In case i get NK'd, I can promise you that--as town--I have a "good guy" name. Any claims that all town have "bad guy" names are blatantly false.
avatar
JoeSapphire: 7 - ZFR. When he gets back I want to hear his 'bragging rights' team - it doesn't count if you say it half way through day 4!
I'll give you now flub, yogsloth and Koro as my list.

Bookwyrm's vote against flub dpesnt feel like it was an RVS vote so I'll second yogsloth, why?
avatar
Microfish_1: In case i get NK'd, I can promise you that--as town--I have a "good guy" name. Any claims that all town have "bad guy" names are blatantly false.
In case you get NKed we'll know what name you had and what your alignment was so this was mostly pointless for Town (us). I'm not sure how harmful was to share it since Trent did say that fluff won't matter, but we'll have to see about that.

Additionally, how can you be so sure that all townies have good guy names?
I wasn't saying that all townies have good-guy names, just pointing out for the record that some of us do.

I was mostly bringing the point up so that--in the event that there actually is something going on with names--it wouldn't be missed/buried/etc.

Edit of the previous post for clarification: "Also, I believe that the Disney good guys and bad guys are [probably] assigned randomly to town and scum alike. "

Korotan: I have not failed to vote.
Have you voted? No. You have failed to vote.

Have you made excuses for never having cast a vote (in this game)? Yes, as of now.

I am blood thirsty. KILL! KILL! KILL!

Still talking about names as if they matter. That's a capital offense.
