JMich: The CL (if we have one) can only recruit non-mafia people. Some roles are highly unlikely to be picked by mafia, and some roles are highly likely to be picked by them, thus a mass claim may make it easier for them to properly pick their cult targets.
Few roles cannot benefit from a mass role claim, and CL is not one of them.
That's an okay point, but I feel it is outweighed by some other points.
1) Are mafia going to tell the truth about picking mafia oriented roles? Imagine what we'll do to the sucker who claims Ninja, Strongman, or Godfather.
2) Considering the current state of the game, a CL should have a high chance of targeting town if he uses even a fraction of his brain, regardless of a mass claim. At most, I'd expect there are 3 mafia alive right now (Krypsyn, Dessimu, and a hidden one). Those are some good odds for the CL even in a random selection from the players that aren't Krypsyn or Dessimu.
3) In a mass claim, a CL would need to false claim. We can demand results from roles, and try to come up with some method to confirm people can do what they say they can do. In the meantime, we start hacking through Vanilla players.
And FWIW, I'm in favor of re-killing Krypsyn today, then probably following up with Dessimu on Day 3 (depending on what happens N2).
