ET3D: Does this mean that you'll be moving GOG to a forum where searching actually works?
OUCH! XD
If this means that gog will get a new forum design then i'm ok with that...

You know those old RPGs where you had no map, but instead had to seek out quests on your own, without obvious quest markers and arrows and all that bull byproducts (as classic RPG lovers may call them) that are must-haves nowadays?

We were inspired by the TRUE classics when designing the forum. We thought you guys would appreciate it. ;)
From that thread on the CDPR forum:

What else do I need to know about the merge process?

First of all, your account will now be managed through the GOG.com account management system. If you ever need to change your password or email adress you'll have to do it there. Also, your GOG.com nickname will from now on be your main nickname on our forums.
I was worried at first, but it sounds like they're merely merging their side of things into GOG's rather than the other way around. That actually, should be a very good thing, especially if that means this crappy ole forum system will see an update.

Question: Will you be merging the Korean spam accounts too, or do they have to create new ones for the CD Projekt Red forum?
So... I had an account on the original Witcher forums way way back, but I stopped using it when a moderator pissed me off. I have no idea of the details of it (username or e-mail that I used). I assume there's no way to tie that account to this one. And I also assume it means that Ill only be locked out of that other account, which I don't care about. Is this a correct assumption?

Lol.

So are you saying we have to fix everything ourselves then? :P

Ciris: If you don't have a CD PROJEKT RED account - this does not affect you.

In short, CD PROJEKT RED is our "sister company", if I may - we are parts of the same business group. We share an office building and do Witcher-y stuff together from time to time, and generally are good friends. :)
I guess that it has not occurred to you that some people prefer to use different tags and credentials across sites...

Good thing I don't have a CDPR account then. I hope it won't ever become a prerequisite to keep using GOG.

I don't think it will much of a problem for them.

Yes, CD PROJEKT RED accounts are getting "absorbed", if I may, by GOG.com forums. All the stuff you have here, stays. The stuff you have there, it MIGHT change if a GOG.com user has the same username as you do there.

I don't know anything about forum systems and those things, so I can't say if there'll be any other changes, so I can't say - all I know is a bit about the merge :)

Well, Barefoot Essentials does that so you're correct.

I know, I was just wondering if that was the official company line ;)
