Most decent psu companies will front the cost of items damaged as a direct cause of the psu. I suggest you contact them directly and politely tell them that you believe it has caused significant damage to your system, they will ask you to return to return the psu for testing.
In the meantime take some photos of the damage in case they request them. Sadly all power supplies can fail, though full 'meltdowns' are very rare with quality psu's as they have multiple safeguards as do motherboards.
Another thing to remember in the future is that with power, more doesn't necessarily mean better. There's a sweet spot with psu power. Higher wattage supplies waste more electricity and produce more heat when they're under-utilized.
