We know that many of you expressed disappointment about the lack of the new multiplayer feature in the latest update to No Man's Sky on GOG.COM. While we have limited control over games and content updates, we want you to have the best and risk-free experience possible when you buy a game on GOG.COM.

Although Hello Games chose not to offer refunds over missing game content to our users and instead promised to bring the missing multiplayer content later this year, we understand that some of you might not be willing to wait. For this reason, entirely at GOG's own cost, we’re offering an extended refund policy for all owners of No Man’s Sky. Even if your purchase is no longer covered by the 30-Day Money Back Guarantee, you can contact our customer support team and we’ll issue a refund in wallet funds.

This extended refund policy applies to all owners of No Man's Sky on GOG.COM who request the refund by this Sunday, July 29, 10:00 PM UTC.

Zoidberg: *sloclap*

You know gog, we've had our differences, but this one... it's a pretty nice move for the whiners wanting more than what they bought for, for free.

I salute you.

Because Steam is not gog? This is the easiest both for gog and the client.

geo2087: Well I paid with my card (more specifically with PayPal), so I would expect the refund to be sent there, not in their own back yard. The point of this refund everyone asked for is for us to move over to Steam, using the same money. What use would money in my GOG wallet be if I don't expect to buy anything else from them?!
Whiners are never going to be happy.

Try to do that at a clothes store.

"Hello (Games), I bought this jacket a year ago but it is less expensive now at this other store, so just give my money back."
That's a pretty awesome offer GOG, great to put your customers first even when you don't have to.

Well played GOG. I come here for the same reasons as everyone else and the price is right ! Thank you for being honest as the song goes, "I will wait for you."
Thx a lot for the offer. Big Thumps Up.

vonHardenberg: Even Steam only refunds store credit. And, you know, they're not obliged to do that. GOG is literally bending over backwards, offering refunds 2 BLOODY YEARS after the release of the game, for an issue that they have no hand in, based on a missing feature in a FREE update that came YEARS after the initial release.

I'm done with humanity, forums in general and any NMS related ones in particular. The amount of hissy fits thrown over a bad (subjective thing, I liked it) 60-buck-videogame 2 years after release is beyond the pale. There's no pleasing some people, and my best wishes go out to GOG's support stuff. You're doing a great job, and you haven't deserved to deal with this kind of garbage.
Steam refunds to your payment method OR to your wallet, as long as you have < 2 hours playtime and not past the return date. While I am going to move my No Man's Sky activity over to Steam, I will just get another game on GoG with the credit. Though, a refund to my card would have been nice.

This. A +1 to you for succinctly summarizing the situation.

Firek: I just replied to your ticket - please reply to confirm, and I'll get those refund cogs grinding in a jiffy. :)

Also, more generally - it's 8PM over here, so our capacity to respond to all requests is somewhat diminished. :) We'll do our best, but some of you may get your responses first thing tomorrow. Thank you for your patience. :)
I always found this train of thought very „interesting“. At 8pm, do you stop selling games or only slow down/stop support? Are you selling games 24/7 all over the world? If so, why not giving support 24/7? I know, support only costs money.

Even Steam only refunds games with less than 2 hours of gametime or within 14-day purchase period. And, you know, they're not obliged to refund No Man's Sky at all for people who purchased more than 30 days ago *AT ALL*.

But here we are, people demanded for some sort of refund and they got one. People who aren't satisfied with wallet refund are completely free to demand non-wallet refund.

That is completely wrong, lol. Steam asks you what you want: All in Steam wallet currency or refund to the payment method used.

Steam's not offering refund after two years over patch issues.

Don't buy from store you don't want to come back.
