If it would include "simple ROM" file inside (or easy to "recover" ROM - e.g. just changing extension of the file) - absolutely yes.

Personally, I would be even interested in legally buying just ROMs with games.

Without any "buts" - such as in those (currently sold) emulated games, which have roms "hidden" due to some weird format (which is not allowing to use those roms "outside" provided application with emulation features) and are impossible to convert in some (not very complicated) way.

Maybe I'm naive, but I'm still not losing hope that one day it will be possible (at least for some platforms/games). And if I would have possibility to buy some "BIOS" (for those systems which can't be emulated without BIOS files), that would be simply perfect!

But generally - if current title doesn't have any native PC port, then of course, I'm totally for emulated version (if emulation quality is at least decent).

nightcraw1er.488: Ok, I would pay for emulated recent games which are only available on console, e.g. The last of us, red dead redemption.

Not much point talking about others, older ones would be a real hard sell, even in bulk (although that mighty work, but the licensing would be a nightmare). What generally happens is they try to release each one, with a large price tag and in most examples a bad emilator - there are som on here.
More modern systems will not allow this, Nintendo would lose their shit if anyone so much as mentions their ip.

So nice idea, but would t work.
Sega did a decent job of it on Steam, but their android offerings aren't worth the cost. They're free, but you have to be live served an ad to save the game. So no internet means no saving. I'll just use an MD Emulator and my roms, thanks. I paid for a ton of them on Steam though and the emulator sucks. It's more about a clear conscience for downloading the ones I have.

I'd love to see Amiga games come here (as I grew up with that system) and there are soo many great games out there for it that have been lost to the sands of time.

But the trouble is with it alot of the game developers from yester-years are no more. Because of this alot of rights are tough to track down for example last I heard some guy brought the rights to James Pond. Plus they would have to work out a deal to get the emulator and needed bios, roms and kickstart images.

Whilst it would be nice to see them, I doubt GOG want to be bothering with all that, as theres still much to do on the retro PC front. (Feel free to proove me wrong GOG.)

(And I know we have seen it with Wings, but that was developed by the developer using their own emulator.)
