toxicTom: Why the hell is the OP low-rated?! A man can dream, can he not?
Probably because it's written as if it is a fact, not a dream. There's another thread floating around about Sega and Square Enix with the title saying they "really need to release all of their video games for sale on gog". This is the same type of thread, but the title is misleading. People don't like being misled or teased. Just a guess...
low rated
The original title of the thread was going to be "EA should abandon Origin & partner w/ GOG to make Galaxy their exclusive client for AAA titles!", but it lacked pizzazz. I regret nothing. ;)

People seem to be a little squeamish lately... I can understand low rating all the ranters who bought TW3 keys on some shady keyseller sites or who demand Steam keys for the NVidia/GOG promo.
Low-rating this thread seems a little excessive. But people will do what people will do...
There's already a drunk thread, just sayin.

I changed a single word from my original title. The topic isn't really about saying "Gotcha!" I wanted people, who might otherwise discount the idea completely, to let their minds consider the possibility, even if for the fleeting moment between seeing the title and clicking on the thread. I made no further attempt to continue the charade. Remember how many people thought LucasArts games would never be released here? I guess my point is: "Keep an open mind. Anything is possible."

I didn't believe the thread title for a second. More wishful thinking from Barry Woodward.

It would be nice if they just brought some of their old games over here, Mass Effect Trilogy was $5 on PSN last week, if they are willing to drop the price THAT low (on greedy PSN of all places) I have no idea why those games aren't available here yet.

Still waiting for Westwood's Command and Conquer games, Battlefield games before Frostbite engine, and Crysis 1 and Warhead.

I don't think you met your goal. The title looks like a fake news report posted for clickbait. I felt reminded to the weird conspiracy theories that you used to post for a while. This "GOG+EA" thing is on the same level of far-fetched pipe dreams with no footing in reality whatsoever, the only difference is that it's an optimistic one rather than doomsaying.

In the end, reading it was a waste of time, and therefore slightly annoying. If you want to open people's eyes, open them to something that's at least remotely realistic. Yes, people need open minds, but there's a line between open-minded speculation and utter bollocks. Your post crossed that line by a pretty large margin, I'm afraid.

Barry_Woodward: No, this isn't a reality yet, but it could be. Imagine if Electronic Arts decided that maintaining their own client and server space was a waste of resources. Imagine if they decided to give Steam the finger and partner exclusively with GOG. Imagine AAA titles like Star Wars: Battlefront III and Mass Effect 4 being made available here DRM-free on day one. Discuss!
Unfortunately if EA would become interested in GOG Galaxy, it would simply purchase the entire corporate group outright (CDProjekt RED is publicly traded company after all), scrap all the parts they don't like (DRM-free would be first to go), squeeze all tallent out of both GOG and CDProject RED staff until there's nothing left and spit out the dead husk while moving to swallow it's next intented victim. That's how black hole that EA is has always worked and that's how it'll continue to work until nothing is left of the universe.
I don't smoke, but if I did smoke I'd ask you for some of the stuff you've been having. :-)
