I hope the Steam key works here, I heard something about Region restrictions on steam a few months ago.
If I win and it doesn't work I'll just randomly give it to someone else who participated.

No, but I barely use Steam. This would be the first code I use which isn't from a Disc-Version I bought here.
I just remember reading that Steam is planning to do something like that (geo-lock, they wanted prevent the people from buying the games cheaper by using the prices of other regions). This information is old though which is why I don't know for sure if it works or not.

as a German you wont be able to use it unless you have means/will to bypass the region lock.
