leroyb1987: Didnt think my thread would get so much hate. I suppose you GOG fanboys have proven that the steam community is value for money. Literally...
Also I dont mean to sound like a troll, Im pretty neutral between steam and GOG but man theres some nasty people here.
Well I apologise for my cynical first post. However some faces will frown when you buy a t-shirt at shop A then go to shop B which has the same t-shirt but a few bucks more expensive. Then you stand in the middle of the store and shout: This store is horrible and I'm disgusted with the fact I got this t-shirt from another store cheaper than you are selling here. It's only natural for a bad response. Also it seemed like a troll post Also I dont mean to sound like a troll, Im pretty neutral between steam and GOG but man theres some nasty people here.
You could have thought a bit more about your wording. Our community is lovely. We do have passion for our store though and we recommend the store to many people. So your statement kind of rubs the wrong way. If you got a better deal at another store, good for you. You saved some money and that is what your top priority is when it comes to buying a game. To each their own.
also a lot of people are not very fond of Steam here to begin with. Actually I dare say a lot of people switched to GOG from steam. They behave like ex-smokers in a way I guess =D.

I just want to point out that while the base TW3 offers up to 27% discount (preorder plus owning TW and TW2), the bundle of TW3 plus explansions doesn't (as the expansion alone are not discounted, they could not apply the discount only on the base game). Given the fact that the expansion could be bought separately, the bundle is really an inconvenient choice.

If I had to stop shopping here because of all the crazy posts, I would have been out more than a year ago :-)
For me it's kind of irrelevant what others say and do on the forums, my business is with GOG and they have done a good job all these years so I just keep supporting them, simple as that.

I love steam. Have since I was introduced to it a couple years ago. I also love CDProjekt Red and anything associated with it.
All that aside, I got the game cheaper on GOG than I would have on steam. That could be because of the loyalty discounts or possible the currency (CAD). But even if it were cheaper on steam, "disgust" is a strong word and IMO an overreaction not worth mentioning. Why start a thread on it if not only to gripe?

Im from Australia so your price comparison means nothing. And everyone knows the situation with Australians and being charged more then a simple currency conversion and adding the "Australia Tax". Simply converting currency wont help you either as a price conversion you will need to use a VPN or something if you want to see our prices. The Witcher 3 (49.79€) + Season Pass (24.99€) - Gog = 74.48€

Also "disgust" was a pretty strong word but Im sure many Australians are equally disgusted with the industry as a whole with the way all developers price our country, so I was a little "taken back and dissapointed" at CD Project Reds pricing of Australians considering their ideals and philosophy. I was also drawing a comparison to steam not because I think they are the best and fairest company who look after their customers as some people implied, BUT as a comparison as to a greedy company being cheaper to GOG. Im sorry if this hurts GOG fan boys buts its true for this particular sale. You can use the DRM free issue and other "Bonus" stuff as justification but thats a matter of perspective.
For example US the expansion pass is $25 US which equals about $31 Australian, GOG is charging $35 Australian. And somehow their "Fair Pricing" with store credit still equates to more then steam, who are simply charging me a base flat price and not over charging and giving me store credit.
Cheers.

BKGaming: And what do you want to know? I've yet to see you ask anything about such things... all I see is Steam fanboy that fails to see how a strict DRM system with no competition is a bad thing.
orangutangiukas: I asked this in other thread, but only GOG fanboys have answered. After coming here ans seeing how arrogant GOG fanboys are i'm not going to buy anything ever from GOG.
We need better defence against trolls in this place.

leroyb1987- "You can use the DRM free issue and other "Bonus" stuff as justification but thats a matter of perspective. "
I agree, the only crutch that alot of gog fanatic fanboys stand on is the "drm free" and "bonus" points.
To vast majority of honest gamers with nothing to hide, DRM is not even an issue.
And bonus content for most games is not really that interesting to begin with.
You are better of buying games at steam sale. Wait 6-8 months and Witcher 3 will be less that $20 on it.
