adikad13000: The point is that these games don't even support it properly, but nevermind about that part, I guess. With this logic, what makes you think that DMC 5 was indeed intended to be played with KB+M? Because it's almost like it doesn't have the same issues as DMC 3 or 4.

At this point just write: NO U. That might support your logic more, compared to what I am saying.

UCrest: Another game with a similar theme is Bullet Witch, which is available on the Humble Store and is DRM-free (I don't understand why XSEED and Marvelous haven't negotiated with GOG or vice versa to have this game in their catalogue).
GOG staff rejected Bullet Witch back when they were snobbishly thumbing their noses at "lesser" games and heavily "curating" the store.

And what is it that doesn't support my logic that DMC3+4 were never intended to be played with KB+M compared to 5, according to your own conclusions?
That you might be just garbage at them? Touché!

They did? Damn...

Voted anyway, might be worth a shot to contact XSEED Games or Marvelous. :)

That's what I recall being told when asking about it. I think there might've been a reference to a developer post or social media? But it's been a long time, and a quick search didn't find it, so... *shrugs* GOG is free to set the record straight if they want the game here after all.

I remember finding it annoying enough to post about buying the game on Humble, to emphasize the lost sale. Somewhere around that time there was a lot of back and forth about "curation" of the store, not just about Bullet Witch but as a general matter.

Matthias00001111: Touché!
It's useless, dude. Some people just can't comprehend that they'll never be able to demonstrate the superiority of one control scheme over the other objectively. They probably just like to cry about it.

UCrest: But playing it with the keyboard is torture...

Rubercaine: Skill issue, bro. I'd even say - a disability. A lot of pc games use this kind of a control layout, like fighting games and beat'em ups, and it's totally fine. I would've liked to see you trying out the controls of the original RE4 back in the day.
Perhaps, as you say, ‘I'm disabled.’ The funny thing is that I played the original version of RE4 (in fact, I also have the original on DVD-ROM) and finished it without any major problems. So I don't think it's because of my ‘disability’ to play, as you say.

But hey, everyone is different. ;)

What a pity. The game is an Xbox classic (as I understand it). I discovered it when it came out on PC (I bought it in 2020 or 2021) and, honestly, I really liked it (it's quite a challenge on the highest difficulty setting).

I didn't know it was on the dreamlist. Thanks so much for the information. :)

I just voted to see if we get lucky and it shows up here someday.

Wodenke: The japanese version of DMC 4 also seems to come with an exclusive extra.
No premium movie for baka gaijins, I suppose.

Anyone know a free/open source VPN that allows to temporarily move to Japan?
According to one of the developers on Steam-forums:

"It's simply a digest movie stitching together key cutscenes from the main game"

Yeah I remeber being massively disappointed when I heard the same news that GOG had said no to Bullet Witch for being "too niech" at the time, hopefully now that GOG don't seem to be as snobbish the game will get another look as I really like the game, voted on the dreamlist as well btw thanks for providing the link.

Touché indeed. Anyone who played these PC ports knows this is not true and you're just excusing bad PC ports, for one reason or antoher. Also your claim that they have proper mouse support is still just not true, they completely lack it. Not to mention the ports are so lazy, that the games show you the console equivalent for any button prompts. This is something that shouldn't have happened in the first place. Some people even made guides over Steam requiring third party software to enable to use mouse, for example here's one: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3289173294

It it is completely ridiculous, that these kinds of guides exist for these games, this should have never happened. At this point you might as well excuse 30 FPS locks, as older games were never intended to play on higher framerates... oh wait a minute, they can be played on higher framerates, except it is a bad PC port! What a suprise!

Please also let Sony know, that these kinds of ports are not possible, since some of the PC ports they made were actually quality. Because with your logic those games were developed exclusively for PS and never intended to be played on PC, so those PC ports shouldn't have been possible in the first plaxe. Except they are.

So yeah, next time maybe you have better luck with writing NO U.

If this would be the only problem, it would be a totally fine thing to discuss. But I realized way too slowly that bro can't even do basic reading comprehension lul
