Caesar.: That's the result of Steam's extremely successful marketing campaign to paint themselves as the One and Only True Store. Similar to how some people never speak of cell phones or tablets anymore, but of iPhones and iPads, because they don't understand how someone would not buy an Apple product.

Cults have been started for less.

WildHobgoblin: Funnily enough, you said cellphones, instead of smartphones, since the two have become practically synonymous ;)

Signed, owner of a dumb phone.
I bet you could find a plethora of people who'd call a Nokia 1100 an "old iPhone", I even bet you wouldn't have to try very hard.

While this is true, it's also a linguistic question. In Spain we still called them "cellphones" or "mobiles" (well, the Spanish variant), but smartphone is very rarely translated and is used mostly in business contexts, not on daily life.

I have heard "Android iPhone", but that's a lot better. :D

Similar here. The English word "smartphone" is sometimes used, and more rarely the Swedish translations "smart telefon" and "smarttelefon". In the vast majority of cases, it's just translations of "phone", "mobile", or "mobile phone".

Well, you don't have to go looking at all for that one. In my experience at least.

also own a dumbphone, and have no interest in a smartphone ever
Well, just checking in to say I've downloaded, played, and found it to be quite awesome.
So, I properly bought the game and about to install right now.
And that's a game that, in spite of me being the target demographic, I wouldn't have seriously looked at before at least a 60% sale. So, strange PR tactics ftw :)
(And yes, I'd still have preferred me a nice chunky demo, although it might run the risk of being a bit less immersive.)

Is the Linux version also inside the torrent?

No, Windows only. While XP is not officially supported, it apparently works fine for some people.

exactly for me too, I agree, if I had the $, I'd buy the game right now rather than wait for a 60% (which is all I ever do anymore, I have so many games there is no reason to not wait a year+ to play a newer one) because of this, and intend to get it as soon as budget allows
