A long-awaited new part of the sniping game series is finally arriving on GOG.COM DRM-free today, at 6 PM UTC.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts takes you to the frozen wilderness of the Siberia, where you have only two choices – adjust to the harsh environment and accomplish your mission or perish without a trace.

Thanks to the new contract-based system the gamer can combine sniping skills and strategic thinking in pursuit of his next targets. But in the end, it’s all about the reflex and patience of a sniper, and of course one must remember – even in this business the competition doesn’t sleep…

The release of the Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is a great occasion to remind yourself about the previous parts of the series. Buy the game in pre-order or upon its release on GOG.COM and you will receive a Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 for free, added to your library. That’s not all, apart from a free game all Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts purchases will include an exclusive weapon skin and a 10% discount. The promo lasts for a week, until 29th November 2019 at 6 PM UTC.

From now on you can also buy other instalments of the Sniper Ghost Warrior series on GOG.COM DRM-free. They come with special discounts that last until 3rd December 2019, 2 PM. Notice that these are specially prepared editions of the games - they include DLCs but have no multiplayer option.
Great game series.

Personally, I liked the first installment most. On the later games the devs made some design decisions, which I could have done without...but for these prices...if you are into sniping and don't need MP (which is kinda special in a sniper game, anyway - all campers, no rush ;o) ), go get them.

I'm eying the new game (contracts) especially. Of course, because that's the only one I don't already own on another service, but also because it gets me S:GW 2 "for free" (or maybe I see it as a discount on the "contracts", with a bonus added).

Anyway, nice releases, GOG!

Since a blue is here...this sentence is somewhat confusing:

"Buy the game in pre-order or upon its release on GOG.COM and you will receive a Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 for free, added to your library."

Just to be sure - S:GW 2 will be added for free, as long as one purchases "Contracts" until 29th November 2019 at 6 PM UTC, right?

Because the release will be today already, and I need a little time to think this purchase over...

Yes, you have some time to think about it :)

Great! Thank you for the response. :)
Great news. Have been watching a little streaming from Centerstrain01 and GameRiot on youtube and I like what I see.

Available on gog and for a decent price is a good enough excuse for me.
I remember the original game being an utterly mediocre, Michael Bay-esque, hand-holding, linear-to-a-fault shooter pretending to be a sniper game.

Do the sequels actually turn this into a competent series?

I think it's safe to say the franchise is a bit hit and miss. Some things are not that bad while other things weigh it down.

None of the previous games are perfect in any sense of the word, but the market for games specifically about sniping is not exactly saturated.

Having said that this looks like the best game in the franchise.
I am very happy to see the first one here. I had a store copy that forced me to use Steam - now I can get rid of that irritation and maybe finally spend a proper amount of time playing the thing.
YES! Gonna buy all of these now. I have two questions though:

1) Are they completely complete in terms of single player content, i.e. is all existing single player-relevant DLC included?
2) Are there plans to add multiplayer at a later point in time, or is this is as good as it gets? What was the reason for not including multiplayer?

Getting the games now regardless of the answers. Thank you GOG!

I kind of doubt it seeing as these versions were made specifically for GOG. Also, I expect the MP to be deader than dead already, so... *shrug*

Yeah not looking for a real online MP match, more like a 1 vs 1 LAN mode

Mr.Mumbles: Judging from the store pages, they may be missing because multiplayer seems to have been cut for the GOG version.

emter_pl: For this release, we prepared special DRM-free editions of the games together with the publisher.

Sniper 1 and 3 come without multiplayer but are available at a lower base price. Sniper 1 also comes with all single-player DLC content included for free. Sniper 2 has the same base price as on other platforms and no multiplayer but comes with pretty expensive single-player DLCs included for free.
Just wanted to say that I completely aprove this approach to this game, and any other future release you guys decide to cut the MP and sell the SP at a lower price. I sincerely hope this turn into the standard way to release games someday, because in this digital age, there is no need to have only "one" version of every game, since I almost always buy games for its single player only. Thank you GOG.

I would like to let you know I'm not agreed with the decision, therefore I will not purchase them here.

Anyway,thanks for the effort,GOG.

Just in case anyone needs a good review of SGW 3 and Contracts I highly recommend ACG on Youtube:

SGW3

and contracts:

I was just checking if there are some reviews for the game up already.
There are two (well, if we want to count these as reviews - requires a lot of goodwill, really)...but none written by a verified owner.
Now I'm asking myself: why would someone write a "review" here on GOG - on release day, even - if said someone clearly couldn't be bothered to buy the game here?
Why should anyone believe these "reviewers" that they own the game at all...?

I sold my good graphics card a while ago.. can I run Ghost Warrior 3? It recommends a HD 7850 2GB, but I have the 1GB version of that card. CPU is a Ryzen 1600.
