PC Building Simulator, Ultimate Fishing Simulator, and Plane Mechanic Simulator are now DRM-free and up to 45% off!

In PC Building Simulator (-30%), you can find out how "easy" it really is to plug a Ryzen 5 Six-Core 1600X to a Z170 Mtech motherboard, with two GeForce GTX 1060s in SLI. To celebrate the arrival of the game into the DRM-free world, Claudiu Kiss and The Irregular Corp have announced the upcoming release of special GOG-branded in-game wallpapers as well as a custom GOG/NZXT in-game case in the GOG version.

Hop on a boat with your fishing rod and a healthy amount of bait to catch some feisty sea creatures in Ultimate Fishing Simulator (-45%). Toggle between the realistic mode for a slow-paced and contemplative experience or the normal mode that will always make sure you have a marine opponent coming up soon.

Lose your mind playing around with 800 bits and pieces in Plane Mechanic Simulator (-20%), a game that will test your ability to learn quickly about the mechanic powering warplanes of the Royal Air Force.

Discounts for newly released simulator games are valid until May 31, 1 PM UTC.

GOG's Quality Curation gives us stupid Simulators, Seriously you gotta be a pretty stupid PC user these days if you can\t build a PC.

Hear hear! How dare people have a casual relationship with computers and just wanna buy something that works right out of the box with no prior knowledge!

pc building simulator looks like shovelware cashing in on the recent weird "simulator" fad that started with Goat simulator (which is actually a reasonably entertaining game).

I mean like really, Fishing and Mechanic are passable, but pc building is dangerously close to all the crap on steam like roomba simulator and grass simulator.

David9855: Ok, cool. The Fishing one looks really nice.
And it has "nice" DLC options. ^^

And DLC even with the PC one, too. Don't know if this is funny or sad.

PS: I really would like ACTUAL flight simulators, see, stuff like "Falcon" or "Apache"? There are some classics out there???

So your point would be? cause this Simulator just shows how to build computers which would be geared towards the casual users, but still a simulator would be pointless for casuals then cause like you said they would rather buy one right out of the box than bother getting the knowledge to build one. Not to mention the fact you get scammed more because of the lack of knowledge and this simulator isn't gonna make you get anymore knowledgeable.

You better of buying the stuff you want in your pc and following certain YouTubers explain how you need to put it together instead of wasting money on such a program.

I build my own PC without Prior knowledge, which means anybody can without a simulator.

I drive a car but I don't know how to build one.

Where does that put me?

Red Baron 2 is there, also Flight Unlimited, all kinds of WW2 flight simulators like Battle for Britain etc. there's a ton. There's also a ton of racing games, but neither flight nor racing is that popular to get releases I guess.
Not my cup of tea - none of them. Honestly looking at the comments so far it does not look as if many are excited about these releases but I might be wrong. After all I will have to trust GOG's curation and I am sure they researched the potential demand for this as well.

Exactly, I have some of them as big boxes, the old EA ones, some from LucasArts...

THOSE should be brought back to the stores, but not something like the PC one here.

A fishing one could be fun with connected hardware (Dreamcast anyone?).

SAD weekend for sure... :(

I don't know if you've noticed but these days knowing how to build a Car isn't a thing anymore considering every Car is now reliant on their operating software. When I own something I sure as hell learn to maintain the damn thing.
...Seriously?

So you'll sell a PC building simulator but not games from Cave or Taito?

I've really been trying to avoid the comparison game, but jeez, are we sure the curators aren't just monkeys throwing darts at a board at this point?

GOG curation team sure showed you, How these simulator games outclass Unbound: worlds apart.

Really. Do you own your temper, because you sure as hell can't maintain that. :P
Seriously? I don't object to these games being offered on GOG, but GOG is accepting these niche sims while rejecting The Nameless Chronicles, Redeemer, Wizardry: LoLS, Bullet Witch, etc?

What the hell? I'm ready for an alternative to GOG, which is sad because I've been an avid promoter of GOG to friends, acquaintances, and developers in the past, and my GOG library is rather large - often I'd buy a few cheap games during sales, even when nothing offered especially interested me, to support the good work GOG did promoting DRM-free gaming.

Of all the mistakes made by GOG over the past eight years, none were enough to extinguish my enthusiasm for GOG until this bullshit "curation" became one of its pillars (even being advertised on the front page, as if rejecting games that I want to buy is a selling point).

Now GOG apparently wants to bill itself as some kind of elitist boutique, a concept made entirely laughable given some of the titles that have been accepted while interesting games were rejected.

I'm still a customer because there isn't a good alternative yet, but I don't promote GOG anymore, and I see GOG being mocked in places it was once praised. Is this really the desired outcome?

I don't know if this is some idiotic business strategy, or if GOG is rife with politically-motivated curators and managers as some have said, or what. I do know that GOG is becoming just another store to me, barely preferable only because of DRM-free. I don't know if GOG will improve without direct competition for the DRM-free market, and I suppose the barriers to entry are high. Ironically, an effort from Steam to support DRM-free gaming (perhaps paired with a one-time reverse GOG Connect for all titles) is probably one of the more likely scenarios.

Done ranting, for the moment at least. Carry on sinking that ship, GOG.

Different strokes for different folks, no need to be an ass about people wanting to spend their money differently than you.
