"In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever.

Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady's uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.

Batman: Arkham Knight is based on DC Comics' core Batman license and will be available exclusively for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows PC. The game is scheduled for release worldwide in 2014."
I am giddy with excitement after watching the trailer and reading the announcement. I have always wanted them to make a Batman game which allows us to drive the Bat Mobile. This is going to be amazing based on Rocksteady's track record. I am curious to see though how good the actual gameplay looks for the new gen version of Batman, as this was most certainly a CG trailer like they did for previous games as well. :D

My prediction:

Hush is the main villain, he wants to grab the Bruce Wayne legacy impersonating him. To do so, he will use the Scarecrow, involving all the other villains of the series (Harley Quinn, who's searching revenge after AC, Two Face and so on).
So this is the mystery Arkham game that Kevin Conroy accidentally exposed on Twitter last year?

Good to see that they're building on some of the loose ends left by Arkham City. Here's hoping that Hush and Azrael will feature heavily in this.
That's a pretty quick sequel, Batman: Arkham Origins was just released late last year and I'm still waiting for it to be released in a Game Of The Year/Ultimate/Complete edition before I pick it up.

If they actually give you the ability to freely explore Gotham City then I could see this being one of the best games to come out in recent years. Speaking of Batman games that let you roam Gotham City, anybody remember Batman and Robin for the original Playsation?
I still have to finish Arkham City some day, but I hope Rocksteady does another good job with this one.

Indeed, I am so glad we are getting Kevin Conroy back as Batman, Roger Craig Smith was fine but there is only one true Batman voice and that is Kevin's. It is really exciting that all those plot points that were set up in Arkham City weren't just red herrings are actually going to be realized in Arkham Knight . :D

It's Rocksteady, so probably they are working on it since AC was out.
So it's not batclooney anymore ?

Arkham Origins was developed by WB Montreal, Rocksteady has been working on Arkham Knight since the release of Arkham City in 2011 as already highlighted by Punished_Snake. :)

Be nice if they fixed the issues people keep bringing up in Arkham Origins first.

Isn't being on the PS4, X-Bone and PC the opposite of being exclusive?
Seems like it will be open-world?

That's true, I completely forgot about the developers being different, still that's a pretty quick sequel.

Ah I forgot Batman: Arkham Origins had a different developer. Still, assuming Batman: Arkham Knight is released late in the year it's still a short wait for a sequel.

That's just Sony pr marketing bs I copy pasted from the trailer. Also Rocksteady didn't made Origins-that was WB Montreal who have no intention of fixing anything:
