darthspudius: They run smooth but nowhere near as smooth and sharp as the pc edition. I don't see why you have such an issue with it. It's a console release and nothing to do playing it on pc. If they wanted to do that then they could.
You are making an issue out of it as I did mention I don't care either way if you read my original post. Just expressing my opinion which no one else has to agree with. :)

ThePunishedSnake: Meanwhile Arkham Knight delayed to 23 June. I bet the Remaster will be out before this.
That isn't such a long delay this time atleast also makes sense to release after E3 instead of just before or during the event. The remaster collection is supposed to come out around christmas according to the IGN Italia news article.

That's nice but do they really need it already? I think the graphics is quite good in this series especially with PhysX on.

More important is that they get the games here and that Arkham Knight doesn't get delayed anymore.
Have companies run out of ideas? All i see is remakes for next gen. Seriously?

It's a relatively cheap way for the publishers to make some extra money.

It is a good way to make extra money, remember consoles don't have the backward compatibility that they use to. If they did, I bet they couldn't get away with this practice.

Considering those console re-masters will be mostlikely converted from the PC versions, which already had much higher resolution and textures, there's very little actual work in making them.

I was wholly used to running Arkham Asylum on the PC at 1920x1080 and 60fps so I was actually surprised how well Arkham Asylum ran on the PS3 when it popped up in PS+. I'm not sure what framerate it was, but it certainly wasn't 30fps. I would hazard a guess at 1280x720 and an unlocked 40-50fps. Arkham Origins on the Wii U performed similarly well.

Arkham City on the Wii U was a bit of a mess though. That one definitely dipped below the 30s in places.

As for the remaster, it strikes me as a little odd that it doesn't include Origins. To be honest, though, I have all three on PC plus City and Origins for the Wii U, so I don't really feel the compulsion to buy it again anyway.

They're definitely one of the smoothest games of that generation. However they did skip out on some of the sharper textures etc which im assuming helped performance.

I'm agree, it's useless and a waste of money, time and energy.
So, in the future, all games will be remastered after 4-5 years ? I don't want to live in this kind of repetitive and sterile world !

What the hell, this is really disgusting. Before the reason was "I'm a 360 user, I never played this so I'm happy to play this on PS4"...but now? Those games are available for every platform, WiiU included (well, at least AC).
...Still waiting for that Mass Effect Remastered Trilogy in hoping it includes all the DLC content.

And hopefully Square Releases Final Fantasy 12 HD or Capcom releases Resident Evil 0 and Outbreak in HD or Konami releasing Twin Snakes and Silent Hill 4 HD.

It wouldn't be that bad.

1) I would have liked them to keep remastering Lucasarts' Outlaws till today (cell shaded please).

2) For each remaster, the price of the former version plummets. If they do it fast enough, the difference of graphic quality becomes negligible compared to the price difference (not to mention that they might de-DRM the older versions they hardly care about).

stg83: Arkham Knight will have exclusive scarecrow related content on PS4. :/
WTF this is actually a deal breaker for me.
I don't really care about that other stuff, but Scarecrow level from AA was absolutely fantastic. And if AK content is going to be anything like it, I'll wait until I buy PS4.

MorningStar33: I'll wait until I buy PS4.
which is kinda the point.
Will they add the original versions to the extras, for those of us who prefer the classic versions?

If they republish also some other classics like COD: Black Ops, I'll pee my pants. Heck, I'll pee on everyone's pants!

stg83: I think its mostly skins that are missing and not much else, just a personal preference of mine to get a complete edition of games instead of buying piece by piece. Also the reason why I still haven't gotten Bioshock Infinite yet because I was expecting a GOTY edition on PC as well. :)

ElTerprise: But Arkham Asylum isn't complete on PC either. It's missing the Joker DLC and Prey in the Night DLC which are PS3 and Mac OSX exclusive.
Game stuff that's OS X exclusive on PC? That's curious.
