Well, that we usually get late game updates is nothing new, let alone the absence of one or another feature or DLC, but honestly, how damn hard is it for most developers to waste a minute of their time to copy and paste the changelog of your games and update in GOG registry?

Honestly, there is a lot that annoys, but this needs no comments, precisely because it is something EXTREMELY simple! So when users need to find out about the notes for an update, they need to go to the game's Steam page or search the internet.

I sincerely hope that after the internal changes announced for GOG (after the last financial report), one of the things that starts getting attention is this one, because the way it is is ridiculous!
Agreed this so much should be simple and cost pratically nothing if anything for such a thing put in the update/changelogs After all the devs/publishers could just copy and past the changelogs they have elsewhere and that'd be adequate Even if its so copy and pasted it says the storefront it was from in the notes as atleast then we would have the changelogs/update notes

I agree that lack of changelogs is fast becoming the most irritating thing about keeping up with updates for GOG games. As you said, they don't even need to retype it, just literally copy-paste the one they've (inevitably) already uploaded to Steam. All you can do though is add your votes to the wishlist started by nightcraw1er.488 here:-

Thanks, saves me posting it. It’s not just a nuisance though, it’s positively detrimental to using the site as shown by the recent titan quest debacle, which could have been avoided by a simple changelog which still has not been put in place. Most games now do not have changelogs, nor options to download older versions, some don’t even offer upgrade patches anymore.

I just go to The "what did just update?" thread.

You're right, but it would be a good start if GOG got the same updates, features and extra content as Steam. Then maybe I'd care more about missing patch notes.

Which is not always up to date.
I agree, I had complained about it myself in the past along with other users. There's no way that we have to rely on the work of willing users or that we have to go to Steam to see what updates have been made to a game.

However, even developers who used to publish changelogs on GOG suddenly stopped doing so around the same time, so it would be interesting to see if the cause is some GOG bug that has complicated things, or if something else has happened.

And also sometimes doesn’t know, sometimes it’s just a version number and no changelog.

Yep. Changelogs on GOG used to be fairly common, now they're rare to the point where I've stopped even checking. The "most helpful" ones now are just links to a webpage with release notes, which I guess is a bit better than nothing.
