What makes you think they will get good?

FPS game championships are dominated by men and that's not gonna change. I finished the first Unreal Tournament campaign in 10 hours when I was 7.

Geez, here come the cynical downers, like flies to roadkill.

I thought the video was adorable. Especially the 5 year old trying to figure out how to use the mouse and keyboard at the same time :D

Don't you see they're PRO ?!? They play with "maximum visibility configs" - see the walls - no textures. They can spot you and score a headshot from half a mile :)

The parent who made this video will get in legal trouble for sure.
This aside: They will kick your butt in a few years, be sure of that.
I knew a female UT2k4 champion (with medal and everything) once, she started quite early as well.
People like me that only play for fun and have no ambition to be better than anyone most likely wouldn't stand a chance at all when they are 11. Reflexes get worse with age anyway imho.

Woman/Girls are just as good as men at games... Just some don't bother with shooters like this.

XD Move to canada our woman play that shit like crazy and off road monster truck games haha, My sister was really into motorstorm on the ps3 when it came out and she beat the game before I could... I sucked at it :P

Find a Japanese girl that started as early as you and you have someone to play with at even odds.
Been there, done that (first girlfriend). It was quite awesome to always have someone to play around, including really hard "bullet hell" stuff.

Ah alright, since that didn't quite work in English (or at least I thought so and it's not my primary language) I tried using some poetic license in the translation ;)

Edit: Wow that didn't take long for the first men > women in gaming post.
Although 4X might just not be the most interesting genre for women, it's a bit of a niche even among men IMO.
Maybe we should compare My Little Pony players, since that's something both genders can enjoy.
