Just got a tweet from the developers. <span class="bold">Kholat</span> will be available on GOG at Midnight GMT (7pm EDT for me).
Not sure what the launch discount is going to be (if any), but it'll be on my shelf and downloading to my HDD at 7:01pm EDT.
I've never been so excited to get so scared! ^_^

Hit the 50 dollar mark today. Nervous as we've run out of "extra" spending for this month and we haven't even bought all the stuff we want...been holding back. Still so many days left. ._.

I have the weirdest boner.
The <span class="bold">Dyatlov Pass Incident</span> is such an incredible (and tragic) real-life mystery. We may never find out what really happened to those poor people, but it has certainly become an engaging topic for discussion and, in the entertainment world, inspiration. There have been so many books on the subject and even a couple of movies. However, as far as I'm aware, this is the first time a game has used it for inspiration. I am very intrigued by the game's presentation and am excited to virtually transport myself to that terrible mountain.

Cool! I haven't read that one. I may have to pick that one up sometime in the near future. The author's hypothesis seems to have many readers divided. If you've finished the book, what is your spoiler-free opinion on his take?

If you have Netflix, you might want to check out the movie <span class="bold">Devil's Pass</span>. It's take on the story is a bit more sci-fi than I would have liked, but it is still a very well-made film regarding the subject. I might have to watch it tonight just to get in the mood.

Is anyone of the opinion that Europa Universalis is worth buying when I already have the sequel? I also have Hearts of Iron II. Is there anything worthwhile in the first Hearts of Iron?

I'm looking at the Paradox promo mostly for the Crusader Kings, but its individual price is set too high. I may look for it at another opportunity.

That leaves just 21 (more) items at 75% or more discount left for me to purchase. God I hope there is nothing but repeats from here on out! I can only take 2 minute noodles for so long.

On Steam it's scheduled for a 10% discount from $19.99 to $17.99.

What I listed is what came to mind for a budget-conscious person with your exact wishlist.

It's got classic cyberpunk, a good turn-based JRPG-style game without the obnoxious JRPG bullshit, a freaky horror point and click, and I like the thought of being able to hear you scream in agony all the way from Spain when you get to All Intensive Purposes on Escape Goat. =)

Didn't stop me sneaking in a fair few purchases on my tablet at work - I even managed to unlock Xenonauts this afternoon and my husband is now the proud owner of The Walking Dead series. So much for saving money this time around!
