So I'm stuck in the Wanamingo Mines, it seems I only got one wanamingo left. The thing is, the bastard runs faster than I do. So, being unaffected by the exit grid, he initially stood behind it, with me being totally unable to reach him. But now, it got worse: somehow, he keeps walking through walls, over the texture of the mine walls. Right now, I set my character in ghost mode, in the hopes that he'll descend toward an empty space, where I'll be able to whack him.
I have no ideea how to solve this issue, so, uhm, help? :D

CryptoHorror: ...
If you can't reload a older save, and you have no followers to help killing the creature, your only chance is making the game think that you finished the quest. You can use vad's editor to do this. Finding the right variable is kinda hard, but not impossible.
Have you tried leaving the area, resting for some time, then coming back?

If you upload the save, I can edit the necessary things. I'll be glad to help.
Yeah, rested for about a week game time, I think.
almabrds, I'll PM you.
Thanks a lot, guys :D

Done. Just talk with Mayor Ascorti, and he will give you the money.
E-mail sent.

hmm, was this problem with vanilla Fallout 2 or the Killap patch?
In second case this scenery problem/bug should be reported (http://falloutmods.wikia.com/wiki/Restoration_Project_bug_reports) could be maybe fixed in the next version (adding blockers etc).

I've gotten critters inside the walls in random encounter caves, but never anywhere else. I haven't tried the version downloaded from gog yet, but I've played through Fallout 2 at least a dozen times and never had the issue with the Wanamingos.

Me neither - but then again most creatures (including Wanamingos) tend to head straight for you, not run away. Unless they've been injured of course, which can happen easily enough if you go for aimed shots (and the shot doesn't kill them).

Well, I think everyone should use at least Killap's Unofficial patch (when not using his bigger Restoration patch) with Fallout 2. Could track Wanamingo mine fixes back to 2005 by googling... ;P

Yeah I was always using the RP so that's probably the other reason I never had that issue. But thanks for pointing that out since I didn't realise the RP has been updated to 2.3.2 now!
I had the Fallout 1 and 2 bundle released in 2000 without any additional patches and never had this issue. They'll run away if they get a crippled limb, but I never had them walk through walls. Not to mention you can leave one of them alive (and the eggs as well) and the mine will still be counted as 'cleared'.
I'm having the same problem, can you please tell me how to edit the save to mark the wanamingo as dead? There is 1 alive and it is stuck behind a wall..
