Hey everybody,

I recently purchased Earth 2160 and after trying to activate the game to get it out of demo mode it gives me this error message: "Activation failed, there are too many activation attempts on different computers". It then of course reminds me the game will remain in demo mode. I sent an e-mail to legal@zuxxez.com and they replied with this:

"this error indicates that your windows settings are not correct for the sales territory of the product.


In case you have an US version (with ESRB rating on the box):

Please set your Windows Regional settings to: English US (Regional Setting: United States), and your time zone to any US time zone. The game will run.

How to do:
Region settings and the time zone could be changed within the control panel.
Click on START -> Settings -> Control Panel --> the control panel should pop up.
For the time zone double click on the 'Date and Time'-icon Click on the 'Time Zone'-tab and choose (EST) New York .' from the drop down menu and confirm with OK.
For the region settings double click on the 'Region- and Speech Options'-icon Choose from the drop down menu 'English (United States)' and confirm with OK."




After reading this I went into my settings to change them. For the time zone setting it was already set to Eastern time, which is the same as the (EST) New York time. And of course, my language was already set to English. What gives? What's the next step?

From what I understand, yeah. I can play in the demo mode. But until I activate it, it will remain in demo mode. And its not a CD key that I need I don't think. I go to a screen where you enter your information, name, address and a few other things and you try to connect to something to activate the game.
