Just had to post this, as it made me laugh out loud last night:

1) Trying to pick pocket a priest in the vestibule at the temple east of Beregost. The attempt failed, so they went hostile. I decide what the heck and take them on. While the party is dismembering the poor buggers Khalid says "Gorion would be proud of your actions!"
Not so sure about that, Khal' old buddy...

2) Again, Khalid says "Gorion would be proud of your actions!" in the midst of us slaughtering an entire village of Xvarts.

It seems Gorion was one bloodthirsty guy!

It's also quite funny in retrospect if you're the sort of character to steal everything that isn't nailed down.

My favorite saying in this game comes from Edwin.

ive been playing a good party, (rep 18) imeon, kalied, jaheria, zxar, monty..

we go into the pub in naskel, and im loving the music, I decide to get the whole party drunk to listen to rumors.. then listen to volo's story about the mines and the commader.. by the time that is done and some bickering in the bar...

Kalied and zxar start in again, Xzar had enough of the harper retorict and well we have a fight on our hands.

was pretty funny, i guess xzar had finally had it after listening to all those stories and being drunk he had had it with kalied. i laughed for a while about that.. cause i was wondering.. i wonder how much longer till xzar cracks.. guess it wasnt long

In the end it was just the 4 of us in the minws... I desposed of the bodies in the spide cave on the 3rd lvl.. I dont think anyone will find them.. I supose i had try to find some new party members..

LOL - that's pretty cool, JeCy. I'm playing through with the iconic party (my character, Minsc, Dynaheir, Jaheira, Khalid, and Imoen), so no real drama between the characters. I'm thinking I'll do another run when BG2 is released and add some mods in. The I may go with a whole different cast.

One thing I am doing though is just leaving things as they happen. i.e. I had Branwen and Xzar in my party (at different times) and both of them managed to get killed (this was before I picked up Minsc and Dynaheir). Instead of reloading, I just grabbed their gear and left them for dead.

In a pub in Beregost there's a drunk who says:
"I'm a lumberjack and i'm ok... i work all night and sleep all day"

He is in that pub where you get the quest to retrieve a shortsword stolen by some gnolls. I think the name is "the Red Sheaf".

wrong drunk.. this one is in the city of baldurs gate, i forget exactly where cause i havent gotton to the city yet.. and its been about 5+ years maybe longer sence i played.. but its the lower west section, or lower middle perhaps? its near docks, I think.. somewhere in about the middle of the map..

Best moment i almost forgot about.

I was fighting firekraag for the 3rd or 4th time and everyone had somehow managed to stay alive. There was 1 mountain bear that managed to survive, not for long. Minsc was still in his berserker mode and he immediately turned around and with his next attack, exploded the mountain bear. It was almost the reward i got and I laughed for 5 minutes straight after.

I had a similar thing happen to me. I had to put minsc into a berserker rage in the city. He defeated the ambush but when it was over, he killed 5 peasants and then he went over to me and started yelling at me because "as he said", we werent behaving justly and should strive to be good people. I had to laugh at the irony.

When my fighter wanting to be a mage Bowrain was wandering about near the crossroads and got attacked by xvarts, he saw a xvart couple making out. He canceled the attack and walked away. Branwen's got sexy legs, by the way. (the other knight is Ajantis, the gnome in purple is Quayle turned into a Thief-Illusionist with level1-NPC's).
