5 Stars, but so disappointed!
I bought this back in 1996 when it was first released. It was brilliant - great atmosphere, great locations, sounds and puzzles - totally absorbing! Unfortunately I misplaced the disc some years ago and so, several PC's and laptops later, when I discovered that the game was still available through GOG I bought it, hoping to re-experience that earlier enjoyment. Alas it wasn't to be, as I found that with the much faster processor I currently have, the game is unplayable. The cursor moves so rapidly that I found it to be uncontrollable and so could not move beyond the first screen. I have tried several suggested routines which are puported to reduce the rate of cursor movement but they did not achieve sufficient reduction for the game to be playable. If anyone knows how I can achieve playability with Windows 7, a 1.6GHz processor and 4 Gb RAM I would be very pleased to hear about it!
