Comes with Unity and Privacy Issues

The game itself is an excellent lemmings clone with a lightweight story line, good music and interesting ideas. It does make puns on almost every zombie topic and film of the 90's. However the game is based on Unity, uses Unity's user tracking feature. Neither does it tell you nor does it present the opt-out option. Technically it is illegal to sell the game in the European Union because GDPR dictates opt-in to such a feature. To sum it up, Great game led down by privacy issues.

Zombie Herd Training at its finest !

Zombie Night Terror is Lemmings with undeads. Sounds simple enough... but it's not ! ! ! Don't get wrong by the trailers. Zombie Night Terror is very subtle game which tries to be a blend of puzzle, reflexes game tribute to 80's horror movies. Each levels has one primary objective and a second optional that serves as a challenge. Of course you will learn how to use new powers as you progress through the game. And if you think that the 8 powers you saw in the trailer will be a piece of cake to handle... you are totally wrong. Frankly i was amazed by how vicious are levels. Especially if you consider that YOU are the bad guy in the story... Powers/ mutations can be mixed to gain various effects on your zombies/ lemmings and elements that blocks you from your targets. To use them you must manage a pool a dna that increases with human deaths or sacrificing your zombie horde. Also you can give simple orders like destroying special objects or even using stairs. Which a way like many others to divide your zombies and prevent some catwalk to collapse in a very Pikmin way... And it won't be too much against the number of traps, enemies or simply very difficult mutations to use. Like jumping coupled with an overlord to make a temporary trampoline which is very funny but also frustrating because in a hurry you didn't aimed carefully and a whole horde turned into a bloody pile of meat. Note that some levels just disable some mutations to make your rotting life easier ! Graphics are greats and reminds me some other games like blood on floor in a Super Meat Boy style. Very nice effects compensate shades of black and white, i really enjoyed animations and lights/lightnings. Also Zombie Night Terror has some very funny dialogues and a weird story to follow. My only regret is the ost which far less punchy than the "Daft Punk" trailer. Zombie Night Terror is an excellent puzzle game with an honorable life span. And it's made in France ^-^ Chapeau les artistes !

Zombies + Lemmings + Leisure Suit Larry

That's basically it: "Lemmings" done with zombies in a "Leisure Suit Larry" art style -- and it's AWESOME. The story isn't exactly original -- it's basically stitched together from pieces taken from just about every zombie movie every made -- but the pieces fit together nicely, and it's darkly hilarious. There's really nothing new about this game, but everything it does, it does well and makes it all seem fresh again. I definitely recommend it. PRO: Simple, effective, and highly evocative art and music with a retro look and feel that you won't need the latest high-end (and expensive) gear to play. Fast-paced and engaging game-play. A great story and characters that make you want to see what happens next. CONS: No remappable controls (at least that I can find -- I may be wrong). No mini-map, which I feel is necessary given the size of some maps and the need to scroll back-and-forth to check on your units. Soundtrack is a separate purchase, but it's worth the few bucks GOG is asking. I haven't finished the game yet, and already, I'd love to see a sequel.

Fantastic game with just minor flaws

What a great game - got me hooked right away and finished it on one long weekend. About 16 hours... So it's definitely not a short game. As far as concept, art style and sound design are concerned, you can simply judge them for yourself in the gameplay trailer... The only thing I didn't like were some of the later levels that seemed kind of lazy design-wise by forcing the player to memorize at least parts of the levels. Also, I wasn't fond of some challenges, like having to find secret rooms. Time constraints - fine. Item/Power/Weapon constraints - fine. But having to search around for a secret room and stuff like that? No. I also felt that some of the solutions relied on a use of powers or things in a way that the player was not introduced properly before. I know that figuring such stuff out is part of the appeal of a puzzle game but in those 3-4 cases, I felt like the jump was too big. I was also hoping for more levels in the style of the earlier ones. I get that the developers wanted to mix it up and I guess every world has a bit of its own theme, even gameplay-wise and that's good - but... I wanted more! In a way - finishing the game took me 16 hours, so... it's unreasonable to ask for even more. I guess what I'm really asking for is one or two or three sequels. Unfortunately, it seems that this game isn't all that popular? So grab it while it's still fresh and the publisher can see that they should keep this franchise alive!!

Great tactical/puzzle game

This game was a surprise hit for me. The tactical/puzzle aspect is nicely done with a lot of way to approach each level. The optional challenges make you think about the levels differently and some are quite tough. Overall the game is nicely balanced except for a slight difficulty spike during the last chapter. The devs are quite active and have released a few patches since launch fixing bugs but also adding quality of life improvements (better jump trajectory, etc) and rebalancing a few levels.
